Speaking to a driver last night and was told the following:

• Dumbarton is on the chopping block
• Overtown is getting cascades from Caley and already has branded 34/A buses from Caley for the 267/263

Overtown doesn't operate the 263/267.

Guessing you are referring to Blantyre who also have some 34 branded vehicles.

Dumbarton being on the chopping block wouldn't even surprise me to be quite honest. They wanted the 208 gone and the 206 doesn't seem to be that busy and realistically you could run the 1s out of Scotstoun if needs be.

They'd also probably try to move drivers over to keep the effects of the shortage to a minimum too.

It's Blantyre that's got some of the 34 branded buses, already been said in this post before they're in Blantyre for the 201 with a mix of E200/E400MMC on this route, Scotstoun and Dumbarton have some old 201 stock.

Yes, as said above all of Caleys 670xx are/have moved to Blantyre so that will be a common sight until they all get painted

They seem to be spread around a fair bit with the 87/88/89 but interestingly the 21 gets them too a lot now

There’s a report on Facebook saying 32598 is out of service at Caledonia and due to transfer to First South West.

You mean 32588? That one hasn't seen service since 25/01 whereas 598 was only tracking yesterday.

If you might've got it wrong with 589, that's also not tracked since December.

However there is a picture of it yesterday in the dark on a 4A working.
The caption says it is on its last but one trip with First Glasgow.

32598 served its finally day in service with Glasgow yesterday, it leads the way of a number of Geminis heading down south in the coming months…

4 of the 5 03 plates still in service today. Considering a lot gets said in negative manner about First and maintenance, 19 years out of them now is fair going especially with the state of some of Glasgow's roads.
