Even the 2 has had B7RLEs and B7TLs on it today. Weird seeing a decker on the 2 it’s been so long.

The B7TLs are bad.... really tired inside and that horrible fan noise does nothing for them.

Yeah I've seen a few deckers on the 2 since the changes. I think a lot of the deckers are poor tbh with the exception of the new ones. The seats on the ones mainly used on the 6 are horrible and very slidy. Was on an X8 which was one of those buses today right enough and it was the same

There was an E400 (33906) on the 2 a week ago today, it was the same day that 'the one' which starts at Clydebank at 07.52 which is operated by Scotstoun was a Caetano bodied Dart.

Yeah the extra 1s at peaks seem to get just about anything except deckers. Still remember a while back seeing a decker on a 1B. Very rare occasion though

A decker on the 1B would be interesting as it would be unlikely to fit under Kilbowie Road railway bridge. Back when Dumbarton had the Olympians for schools work they sometimes appeared on the morning 1B from Helensburgh which only goes as far as Dumbarton. I think these days it is the bus from the sole 877 which covers it.

Yeah, I had to look twice in case I misread 1D but nope Helensburgh 1B right enough. I think with the 1s having to send in so many extra buses to the city centre is so much wasted mileage but I don't think they'd run them as extras from Dumbarton although at times with the reliability issues the 1s bring all day they could definitely work. The recovery time at the city centre end of the route is around 10mins too which isn't much given they are late very often. At peak times near me there are usually a few buses still at Scotstoun when they are due at Osborne Street and it's a daily occurrence

It's probably because of the potential strikes tbh. I think they will try and prevent them then we will know more. Could also just be to keep the hate from the public down for as long as possible too because I don't think anyone will react well if even the drivers aren't

Glasgow don’t normally announce service changes until after they have been registered with traffic commissioner. I think the last time they consulted on changes was simplicity.

Also as has been said the upcoming ballot for strike action doesn’t help in this instance.

If previous changes are any indication, when the Aberdeen proposals were sent to the council they would have been leaked to the press anyway, so for PR it was advisable to do it with a consultation.

Probably what would be a better use of a double decker would be to introduce a 1F from Faifley to the city. Giving faster journey times and extra capacity from Faifley.

Given time and some new Vehicles the 2 could also go over to double decker with a reduced frequency but more capacity. The 1F and 2 could be interworked to balance out mileage.

A 1F would be interesting tbh but I don't know how they'd timetable it among the rest of the 1s. Yeah the 2 for bunching up even with the changes is still pretty bad. The 1s and 2 have been very successful tbh. Clydebank/Yoker have been very lucky with landing good services. The 10min frequency of the 6 doesn't stop that bunching up but then again with a journey time over 2 hours I'm not surprised it happens a lot

Yeah , every time the bus brakes you slide of the seat , they are going soon , very few lwft in service . Would not surprise me if they get rid of the other low heights . Whats it doing on a X 8 HA

Thank God lol they've popped up all over the place lately tbh. 57/57A occasionally as well as the 60/60A too. The one I don't get is double deckers on the 8 and 90. Especially 53/54 plate ones. They just don't sound anywhere near healthy enough for the longest routes First do lol

How much of a part would you guys say the weather causes in buses being late? Seen 5 3s towards Drumchapel at Oswald Street an hour ago within 5 mins and about 3 2s and a barrelload of 1s too within the same timeframe

Seen 2 e400s in a row yesterday at Clydebank yesterday . Some 1 services do a burly into Clydebank bus station , driver toilet break i think .

Ive noticed that between 1645 and 1715 , this is when i sometimes get 6 from Union St , the freq is down to every 15 mins . Took a 21 , 2 21s came at once

Yeah , shame they were ordered specifically for the 6 . Its a micro fleet , so may not be around too much longer .

I wonder if it’s the intention to redo the branding on the 240 branded E200MMCs and the gold express branded E400MMCs as they still have the Olympia livery and the gold hasn’t been applied to the full front of the buses like the X36 FSE E300s which are branded similarly but with the new urban livery. I find it strange the X8 hasn’t been gold branded using E400s like the other routes.

67101, 67102 and 67105 have now arrived at First Cymru, upseated and repainted in two-tone blue. They join 67106, which transferred in April, though hasn't been reseated.

67096 has also arrived with First Cymru in Swansea

Seems to be a few 75 branded buses popping up on the 88. Seen another today and just to really cause confusion there was a 65 branded bus on a 64
