The 56 plate darts were painted when they transferred I believe. More likely for the 05 plates to be scrapped than painted.
The 05 plates will not be scrapped anytime soon apart from Overtown's 42888 which the last i heard was an donor bus for the other working darts. As far as I am aware the other 3 05 plates are running perfectly fine. If they are due for retirement they will still get repainted regardless. look at 61617 which could be withdrawn at anytime now and also 65696 which was repainted and has now been withdrawn (on reserve)

“67101, 67102 and 67105 have now arrived at First Cymru, upseated and repainted in two-tone blue. They join 67106, which transferred in April, though hasn't been reseated.”

First Cymru have a new red livery though depends on what they will be used on. They’ll also need reconfiguring with the luggage racks - a trip to Thornton’s?

I’d doubt it. The E300s that went to Somerset didn’t have their luggage racks removed and they were by that time 6 years old. These buses are 3 so I don’t see them removing them. I think they’ll keep them as they are.

Upseated, you say? 8-) There were reports of these heading to the X3/X11 and gaining the new Cymru Clipper livery?

They've had the luggage racks removed, 3 tip up seats fitted and all signs of their previous Glasgow life removed or covered over. The base livery colours do match that of the Cymru Clipper.

42888 is gone and 2 of the other 3 are not in the best condition.

Found a pair on Flickr. Reference to the X3/11 on there too and the colours look right.

I suspected that they would be upseated as luggage racks are a bit of a luxury when seats are generally more necessary. The Somerset ones were an exception because of the large number of luggage wielding tourists for Butlins at

Appreciate that Glasgow has its LEZ challenge and might have wanted to retain them but it’s probably the nearest First Cymru will get!

The airport E200MMCs were short lived but glad they’ll be put to good use down in Wales.

The E400City looks the part however thundering down the M8. Really like that design. I hope First consider ordering more for some of their other routes.

Not much point doing it before sending them on a 400 mile journey south. Will probably get done when they apply the vinyls in Ravenhill.

I know it sounds like a non-issue and a bit pointless but to me it just smacks of Firsts usual half a job way of doing things. I doubt they will be painted/replaced down south to be honest and Caley could have quite easily sorted them there. A 400 mile trip isn't going to leave freshly painted wheels looking like they've came off an Avondale bus.

In all fairness the Aberdeen repaints have been returning with old dirty wheels and been getting them tidied up and painted here. I assume it'll be the same with these.

If they don’t do it at Swansea, then fair enough but they have done it on the refurbished B9s.

I certainly like those alloys found on Glasgow 400Citys, just a pity there not kept clean or polished occasionally.

Seen a couple of the spare single decks that usually appear on the 2 on the 5 and 6. Is there testers going on for different routes currently to determine what service will get the new buses?

No these buses get used all over and are not confined to the 2. No more new buses this year apart from the two electric ones anyway.

Yeah I knew they weren't confined just found it very different that I've now seen them on quite a few different services within the last week. 5,6,7,57A,61 etc

Think they've let everything loose on anything tbh. Only a small number of services seem to have the same buses constantly

Even the 2 has had B7RLEs and B7TLs on it today. Weird seeing a decker on the 2 it’s been so long.

The B7TLs are bad.... really tired inside and that horrible fan noise does nothing for them.

There was an E400 (33906) on the 2 a week ago today, it was the same day that 'the one' which starts at Clydebank at 07.52 which is operated by Scotstoun was a Caetano bodied Dart.
