For the west but who knows

I am surprised Oxford take on trainees lovely location guess not cheap though

If you're already local it makes no difference does it ;)

Are we supposed to be getting confirming emails from Mandy/Alice or is everything going to be via the post? And if we are getting emails has anyone else not received one yet?

Ah, ok, Alice will be sending the email next week and then I need to ring Alice to confirm train times, crb etc. I am not being dim it's just that Mandy caught me between buses and the conversation was a bit hurried-6 minutes long.

Thanks for all the replies.

On the bright side, if no one gets offered Oxford you arent out of the running, just have to wait a little longer!

Yes that's right ,I read on here that some people were given start dates for Reading and Bristol.Happy to still be in with a chance but it does appear to be a waiting game..

Does the trainee driver position have a period of time that must be completed after being fully qualified? Ive heard with some companies you have to pay all the training fee back if you leave within 5 years. What happens if you leave before?

I'm Bristol and hear nothing. Gutted and fuming at the same time. I'm done now chasing them. Congrats to those that have heard, and I really do mean that by the way.

I haven't heard anything either. (Reading)

Applied; Aug 13
Stage 1; Oct 13
Stage 2; Jan 14 (re-arranged to this date as I couldn't make Dec 13 stage 2)
DM; Feb 14 *cancelled as the track fell in the sea*
DM (2nd round); Mar 14
Results that I passed DM; Apr 14 (few days after DM)

Some have been lucky and raced ahead, some waited longer and some in the same boat.
Truly, this forum has been very interesting over the last year and made the wait bearable as it was our only source of news. I truly mean this, congratulations to those who have heard and a best of luck to those who have medicals in the coming weeks and the training courses.

I'm interested to see what the following months produce. I don't believe all of us will be given courses (includes me) however I'm glad I never failed any of this, especially on my first attempt.
I will be taking a break from this for now and wish everyone still waiting the best of luck! :)

Presuming maybe, Tlionhart (Bristol) vw (paddington) and skjonesfamily (Gloucester) haven't heard

No news yet but I am really happy to hear about the recent movement. I am sure it has given a ray of hope to all those on hold. Congrats to everyone who have been offered a conditional offer. As for me, I will keep playing the patient game till the day I get that call :)

Hi guys. I've been reading your posts for a while hoping they invite me for medical as well. I passed 2 stages late 2013. In September last year I had my interview. I've applied for Reading. I think you lot had your interviews before me. Hopefully my phone rings one day haha.

I have a recent email from FGW simply stating the workforce plan is under constant change (vacancies are predicted but may change) so it is completely unknown how many vacancies may arise but nothing happening at present my end anyway... No go ahead for more trainees to be taken on

Oh well more patient waiting[/Q

Ive emailed asking whats going on and have had by the looks of it the same email, looks like the April course is done and dusted now so if you havent heard by now you probably wont, but fingers crossed now for the four courses starting from June and onwards.

There's 4 courses from June? Thought they only planned to have a few. March, April, May and June?
Dunno what's going on? Wonder if anymore are on hold as the list seems small
