Could anyone throw any light on how long after your final interview does your application on hold (Talent pool) remain live. When I received an email last June after my Managers interview it quoted that my application would stay live for 12 months but have noticed that some people have been waiting over 12 months . What I'
m asking if I have not heard anything by June is my application closed ?????????

In theory 12 months. As you mention, they seem to be doing it how they like. I would say, come 1st of July you will know by def that you will have to consider elsewhere. Well that's what I will be doing. I still have a little hope, but not counting on it...

My own view was that there was no real time limit, but if I was passed over and other people who had completed their assessments and DM interview after me had been offered posts, it was probably a case of "got there, but not quite good enough". For FGW it make sense to always put forward the candidates who scored best in the process. Harsh, I know, but it made the most sense to me. On the FCC thread (now Govia) there is a guy who actually got married and had two kids between DM and being offered a position.

Well that beats my record of having a baby, moving down the country, changing job and getting engaged between application submission and join offer

Hi guys been lurking in the background these last couple of weeks. I had my DM interview for Paddington back in Sept last year. I was told three days later that I'd passed it to a " high standard " but still waiting like many others. :(((((.

I think the emails post interview with high standard wording are sent to all successful candidates automatically

anyway a driver on here reckons several East side courses coming up so you may be in luck

Yes more courses are planned. (HR told me the other day) I wouldn't expect to hear anything until mid-March.
List updated by the way.

Same here :D I couldn't believe it when I got the news. My hands were shaking for a good 10 minutes after I hung up. Medical end of Feb with a start date of 7th April for Paddington. Medical details to follow. For anyone still waiting to hear, just hang in there.

Wow that is amazing news for you, well done. Despite the re-assurances I'm beginning to wonder if it's just not going to happen for me but you never know.

And congratulations to everyone else who's found out today.

Ah I see, same here but it's not too late for us, but yes, it's hard seeing others getting the call but someone has to be last I suppose. Fingers crossed something happens today!!!.
