As the latest offers have been for London depots, I assume that nothing will be happening at the West Depots? Are the two regions mutually exclusive when they recruit so that trainees never mix.

Twoonthebuzzer, how many hours driving have you got in now? As I think the faster you get your hours in the faster the next batch get in.

Not you personally, Twoonthebuzzer, your cohort, I made sound like you personally were causing the hold-up.

I've done most of my hours now but won't be passing out for a long while yet due to the volume of trainees at my depot. It's looking like a near 2 year process for my depot currently.

By May/June time we should be all one on one with a DI which will be much welcome, so my punt would be for a course starting around then for the West Depots.

There are many DI's who, understandably, want a rest from instructing too as its been relentless for them in recent times so I think there may be a period planned for that too.

I received a call at about 12 today asking if I was interested in still joining for Reading depot. Explained to Mandy that I was already training with another company. So it looks like the wheels are starting to turn. Good luck!

No Out and about on my own now :D
All of this waiting and uncertainty will be a long and distant memory by the time you get through next year

Where are all u guys down for depot wise. Anyone for Westbury heard

JCF, I wouldn't worry about anything just yet, all the posts offered so far have been to the East, no West posts have been offered as far as this forum has been told. And as twoonthebuzzer says Bristol is still struggling, and he reckons May? as a guess.

Appreciate the heads up mate. I've applied for Reading so I'm guessing it's going to be months before I get contacted?
Don't think so??

My post was misquoted (or more accurately, misunderstood), I put people's choice of depot in brackets after each individual's name. If you look back, there is nothing after driverb's name. post #1881 if anyone's really bothered.

Just wanted to clear that up ;)

Not really:lol:, I was just trying to stress that no West jobs had been offered and Westbury blew a big hole in that argument.:D

We will just have to wait a little longer.

Hi all,

I don't post often but I have been lurking for almost 2 years.

Finally, today I received a call from Mandy with a provisional offer of employment.

I am to attend a medical on the 18th Feb and a start date in March.

I understand from the conversation I had with Mandy that many prospective trainees are unable to give current employers notice within the required timeframe.

If it offers a ray of hope to anyone, I am also sure that Mandy is contacting people for the March intake alone. Which means if you are LTV and on hold, you are likely to get a call within a day or 2.

If not, there is also rumour of further courses in a couple of months and beyond!

I look forward to meeting those of you here, in March!
