Any news yet mate? I am still shocked I got an email back so quick.

Hi mate. I've just had 2 e mails. The 1st one said they had withdrawn my application for the role of trainee train driver oxford, the 2nd said congratulations you have passed the 2nd stage?? Does anyone know what this means?

I've had the same. When I did the MMI I was asked if I'd consider reading and as it's closer I said yes. Did you apply to both?

Yeh she asked me that too and I said that I would be happy with either, I can only assume it has something to do with that but my account now shows no live applications.

So what did the e mail say Debbie or was that it?

1st one said they were withdrawing my application to oxford as multiple areas. Next one said I was successful at stage 2 and will email when organised the interviews. In my MMI the interviewer asked me if I'd consider Reading as closer to me. Wondering if myself and James are up for Reading and others up for Oxford and they haven't sorted those?

I didn't apply to both so very confused. Looks like we've been shifted but only confirmation is email.

Mmm OK, my interviewer said she had about 20 to mark so I probably wouldn't here until next week at the earliest. Horrible waiting isn't it.

It seems that way, I think more people have applied for oxford so they are trying to balance it out a bit. I asked the interviewer how long the wait would be for the final interview and was told that they are running them every couple of weeks at the moment so shouldn't be to long??

The waiting after each stage is the worst! Then if your lucky after each stage you've got the waiting for the next bit....

I never asked about it and assumed she just asked everyone. Which one are you closer to?

The refresh button on my e mail inbox has taken an absolute hammering these last couple of days, glad to hear back in good time though. I'm miles away from both and will need to re-locate either way.

So guess either way it's no bother for you. Back to watching for emails!!!

I'm in the same boat, I'll be re-locating.

All she asked me at the end was 'Oh is Reading closer for you'
I said 'no Oxford is but I currently live about 1hr 30min away, so I would be re-locating anyway, would this be an issue?'
Her response was 'that is something you would have to discuss at the next stage, if I you get through, just keep checking your emails this week. You will now the outcome latest Friday.'
and that was it...if she had put it across differently e.g. do you mind it you are placed at either Oxford or Reading, I would have said either.
Thus, I am assuming, that is why I only had the one email saying congratulations.

Well I passed my DM Interview back end of Novemebrt, and still waiting for a course date.the lack of communication from First is frustrating at times, but the prize at the end is worth it!

FGW are on it this week...only did the Stage 2 on Tuesday, email Wednesday to say I had passed and now I have had the email inviting me to book a DM interview :o

Trying to keep my feet grounded and not get swept up by it all.

Any tips for the DM interview?

Wow that was quick. Are you still showing as Oxford? Bet you can't believe how quick it's happened! Well done and good luck. Where is it held?

Still not over the shock of passing all the assessments and having a email the very next day!

Now this, I was mentally prepared for a wait of a week or 2 before getting the email for the interview! lol

I'm in a bit of disbelief really, can't believe how quick the whole process has been! I'm over the moon but at the same time trying not to get carried away as there's another interview to go yet. It's been confirmed that they've switched me to reading and I've got my final interview there on the 7th!

Did you call them or receive an email. I've not heard about final interview and also nothing up on my login just email saying passed.

I had the e mail saying I need to book my interview for trainee driver reading this morning. This afternoon I have also had a reply from the recruitment team, as I sent them an e mail yesterday, confirming that I'm now going for reading instead of oxford.

Thanks. Have you not heard yet then?

Not yet! Unless they are working through in order of attendance. If so then prob not hear till Monday earliest. Good to know you've heard so quickly as means they must be on the ball especially with some of the delays you hear about on this forum.

Yeh that's more than likely. At least you know you will be getting an invite soon, that's the main thing!!
