Unless brfares.com is wrong, the fares from Worcestershire Parkway to Birmingham Stns are set by XC. I was surprised, but they are.
They've done a complete botch job of it!
XC have override fares in the system from
Worcestershire Parkway to
Birmingham Stations, as well as
Worcestershire Parkway to
Birmingham New Street. Quite why they introduced separate override fares to both destinations, I don't know...
Both sets of override fares are virtually identical to each other, as well as to the WMT 'base' fares. The only differences are:
- the override season ticket to Birmingham Stations, which is priced at £36.80 a week vs £38 a week for the WMT base fares and XC override fare to New Street
- the CDR has the same restriction (JF) in both directions, whereas the WMT 'base' fares have an evening restriction out of Birmingham (DI), when bought from Birmingham
However, it's worth noting that WMT also apply override fares from
Worcester Stations to
Birmingham Stations, which again are identical to the 'base' fares, but for the CDR which has restriction DI in both directions.
