Does anyone have a list on what is provided at the weekends in First Class on each TOC ?
VT - If theres catering then Tea/Coffee, Biscuits/Crisps. Your basically pay the extra for the legroom and table/sockets. Worth it on long runs. £15 if I recall, great if you manage to get a cheap advanced ticket, makes its worth while if something like Eus-Glc or Glc-Eus.
They also offer an at-seat first class service on the EDB routes at weekends.
You get a "snack" as well, which 9/10 is biscuits of some description.Scotrail offer a free drink from the trolley service.
Yea, I've upgraded twice with my Advance card and as you say, you can't complain but it's certainly not worth paying (unless standard is rammed and you value a seat). As Advance members get a free upgrade at the weekend that plus the better seat is not bad value, but not really worth it if you are paying.
Plus the two Breakfast trains southbound in the morning. Isn't the usual weekday menu (albeit not included in the ticket price at either time) also available on weekends?
Greater Anglia offer complementery Tea, Coffee, Water, Juice, Buiscuits and Crisps (which is just the same as on the weekdays)
Also Greater Anglia offer a first class upgrade for £10 or something like that at weekends
VT is now snackboxes with pretzels, cheese, crackers, flapjack, chocolate and biscuit
FCC offers a guaranteed seat at weekends in First..![]()

On London Midland you get exactly the same as a weekday, i.e. nothing!
I'd forgotten about that!I don't know, you get to watch a procession of people pass through to use the facilities![]()
