150921 & 927 operate severn beach runs?
Last time I saw the Severn Beach service last month, it was a normal 150/2. I was under the impression that these units do Cardiff - Paignton/ Plymouth/ Penzance workings, I think I've seen them on these before. I'm not 100% sure what diagrams they work in all honesty, but I didn't think it was Severn Beach.

921 & 927 also been noted on Cardiff-Portsmouth Harbour and Great Malvern-Brighton
Have a look on Google images
However PM451 usually doesn't end up doing the evening Cardiff run. Usually a 158/9 does it. That balances the diagrams so that the 150/9 can go back on PM451 in the morning.PM451 operates Severn Beach shuttles in the morning and also operates to Frome/Warminster and Great Malvern in the afternoon, then onto Cardiff in the evening.
PM452 works to/from Cardiff, and the trip to Paignton.
When I was on hols in Paignton recently, the 12:48 to Cardiff was a 150/9 every day that I saw it (including the day that I caught it back to TM). Is that the PM452 diagram then?
I wonder why this is the case now? London Midland used its hybrid 150s (Featuring the self same two 150/2 vehicles now incorporated into 150921 and 150927 of course) very intensively and rarely seemed to encounter any problems as far as I could tell.A mate of mine is a manager for FGW and the reliability of the units like said previously is not good.
The 12:23 Portsmouth - Cardiff was a 2 car 150/2 yesterday.
Hopefully not an ex LM one?
FGW have two former LM 150/2s (Not including the two lone cars now included in 150921/7): 150202 and 150216.As it is quoted as a 150/2 it could not have been an ex LM one
Sorry, I forgot those. As they were centre cars on LM they did come immediately to mind.FGW have two former LM 150/2s (Not including the two lone cars now included in 150921/7): 150202 and 150216.

I shouldn't think any people hardly would be making end to end journeys. Cardiff to Paignton is mostly a collection of local journeys.
You'd be surprised. FGW offer cheap advance purchase tickets on the longer distance services ran by 150s such as Cardiff-Paignton, Cardiff-Plymouth and Penzance-Cardiff and you do get people using them. The Bristol-Brighton service is a long established regional route, and it is well used. The Brighton services are booked for Class 158s though.
