Hi All I need some advice, please . After passing DMI with Southern (GTR)for a trainee train driver role.Unfortunately, I failed the MMI in April ( This was my first attempt ).when I phoned for a feedback I have been told that I failed on " Verbal Communication " I thought I prepared well but I didn`t perform well enough and by the end of the interview I knew that I am failing it .Three months now since my interview and I am in such a bad mood and I can`t get over it .I was putting all my hopes on this opportunity to change my life for the better and get my dream job as I am sick from hopping from one job to the other .I am a former Bus driver and currently work in care.I am British-Egyptian moved to the Uk in 2005 I speak English fluently but to be honest sometimes I pronounce some words not right which happened during the MMI ,when I got my feedback I knew I failed because of that .On the other hand, i gave a great DMI which lasted over an hour and the interviewers were really happy with me.Now I keep blaming and beating myself and saying I should have done a mock interview in a recruitment agency but after passing DMI it gave me confidence that I will do well in the MMI .The 6 months will be up by the end of September and I am thinking to contact GTR to resit the MMI if they let me.but at the same time, iam scared that I will fail again with the "communication"aspect .Any advice would be much appreciated.
