I can see Hamilton winning this from the back. Will be tough but not impossible. 18/1 odds too which has got me tempted.

Hamilton might win it from the back if there are masses of crashes. He has no new sets of tyres as he used them all in getting the magical pole position, he then had took off him.

Alonso is a good, talented driver but his fiery temper has seen him clash with a few drives on and off the track over the years.
All his experience driving got him into the lead at the moment with today's race.

Might be a bit too much I think, safety car could change that though.
I plumped for a fiver at 5/1 for a podium.

It would have to be 33s at least for me to be interested. As others have said Barcelona isn't exactly known for its overtaking. Most of the time drivers have performed numerous overtakes it has related to some nonstandard situation (Panis 1997 anyone?).
As for all you lot going on about Alonso, I'm not exactly Hamilton's biggest fan but I'm not exactly keen on Alonso either (although I don't dislike him as much as I used to).
Oh, and I'm nto watching the race until it's on iPlayer, so I shall now vacate the thread.

well last time they had a good run on wins Renault was with them and Renault are with them again so who knows what could happen this season.

It always seem that McLaren get harsher punishments than any other team especially Ferrari.
I dont like Lewis Hamilton as a person but he drove an inspired race so hats off to him for that and as for Maldonardo, I salute you sir, flippin brilliant!

Guys on Sky sports F1 says its a fuel rigg.
Just seen it on the TV as it broke out, wow it gets hold of the Williams garage in seconds.
Staff being moved from paddock further away now.

How do you mean? This is the first I've heard of that.
My laptop can last up to 5 hours on batteries...
If you are a student living away from home in term time then the license that covers your parent(s) home address (which must be your non term time address) will cover you for watching programmes as they are broadcast, BUT only on a device that is not connected to an aerial or plugged in to the mains.

Williams-Renault, never thought I'd see that combination winning again. So we've now had five different drivers in five different cars winning the first five races. Looks like F1 is a proper open series again now. The fire was a bit worrying, apparently traced to a faulty KERS unit shorting out and setting off a fuel rig.
Finally finished watching the race (after successfully avoiding the internet for 24 hours - if only I had that dedication when studying) and I couldn't bear to watch the last few laps. I was so worried that Maldonado would mess it up à la Melbourne.
