... However I bet there will be a massive amount of problems when the barriers are installed.

If they do the obvious thing, and discuss it with ATOC and TfL and use the various ticketing and settlement standards that exist already, they should find no problems with barriers and through ticketing would be easily workable.

If they choose to reinvent the wheel, I'd consider any major issues to be self inflicted.

The smartcards that are being introduced are ITSO compliant, no idea what the new ticket stock will be like. It was mentioned that the barriers to be installed would be much like the London Underground ones.

Main problem is the lack of information - if no-one knows about it, no-one will buy the ticket.

City haven't won the League for over 40 years. And the last time they did, United usurped them at Wembley. United are still the bigger of the two, just as Arsenal were always bigger than Chelsea when Mourinho was around.

For the record, I support a club that, according to Rafa Benitez, is "small". (Biased idiot.)

Trouble with putting on trains after games is do you schedule it for five o'clock? Half five? A pint after the game or not?

The obvious time would be the train about 10-15 minutes after the final whistle, as this is where the problems are. Ideally a train could be doubled up, failing that there could be a spare path in between the half hourly service to shove in another Pacer (easy to store in in the sidings at Middlesbrough, plenty of space in the bays at Darlington and could be attached to another Pacer at Saltburn if needed).
