The latter. How did the set get to Holyhead without a 'valid' (for want of a better word) loco - or can exams be carried out at Holyhead but the exam was still in progress?

My fingers are crossed I’m not going to be hungry… currently 18 mins late so I’m having a pint first!Generally, the only Booked ones from Swansea are weekends.
1V50 is part of a current diagram and is booked HD05 so barring any issues between now and then should be one!
HD07s first day in service. The extra set should make a big difference to availability. Not sure if it’s been out this week yet already, but HD07 is back in passenger service after it’s shake down runs, it’s on the 0435 Cardiff - Manchester, 1030 Manchester - Cardiff & 1714 Cardiff - Holyhead today with 67020.
Also out is 67014+HD01, 67010+HD04 & 67025+HD05.
Good to see plenty of sets today.
4 car sets which are all the in service rakes (HD01/02/04-07) are 1st by the DVT, 5 car set, HD03 has the 1st in between the buffet and a standard coach.Glad to see more sets becoming available. Out of interest what are the formations now? I was under the impression that the first class was in the middle due to platform lengths but seeing set HD04 yesterday it had first next to the DVT?
ah ok. Thanks.4 car sets which are all the in service rakes (HD01/02/04-07) are 1st by the DVT, 5 car set, HD03 has the 1st in between the buffet and a standard coach.
When the others get made 5 car 1st will go in the middle.
HD03 heading to Holyhead to start 5 car proving up and down the coast next week.Spotted a set heading up the coast to Holyhead this morning around 1135 through Shotton, looks like an ECS from Crewe CS after a quick look on RTT. Also spotted a set on diversion around 0445 this morning at Chester on a Crewe-Cardiff working. Line between Crewe and Shrewsbury was closed at the time.
In the middle of last night I saw Black TfW liveried 67022 going light engine East through Chester towards Crewe. I think this may have been the 67 which has been at Bangor for some months.
Looks like it, but not sure why it would go to Basford Hall...Looks to have been this:

Power issues on 67020, coasted into Chelford loop luckily so only that train affected.67020 with an UID MK4 set is currently over two hours late on 1V62, stuck in Chelford Loop; with 1Z99 approaching from behind.

Seems to be a struggle getting any form of rescue loco so 1W63 was terminated at Stockport and sent as 1Z99 to assist.

That's the way it reads, no mention of the coaches being dropped anywhereSo will that be a full set coupling up to another set? Would be very interesting to see any photos that are posted of this event if so![]()
Definitely 67008 on it. Shows as a 'rescue rake' rather than rescue loco so seems its still attached to the coaches.1Z99 reported as 67008
In a way its good they can rescue in that configuration I suppose it'll be 67 attached to 67 and driven via the dvt.Definitely 67008 on it. Shows as a 'rescue rake' rather than rescue loco so seems its still attached to the coaches.
228 minutes late now. I wonder how far it will get?
Its planned to terminate at Crewe and put the whole lot onto Crewe ATC.228 minutes late now. I wonder how far it will get?
Tried to find it on any Darwin-based thing, couldn't seem to. Probably cancelled at Crewe?228 minutes late now. I wonder how far it will get?

It wasnt planned as should be an R+R (Rescue and recovery) loco spare at Crewe but for whatever reason it wasn't available. Freightliner, DBC, LSL and WCRC were all asked too but with no joy so this was very much a last resort. Hopefully it's not something that gets used too often anywayIn a way its good they can rescue in that configuration I suppose it'll be 67 attached to 67 and driven via the dvt.

I may be wrong and they've turned since but I believe the formation would have had the DVTs coupled in the middle with the good loco on the front and the bad one on the back but could have turned round since so could be wrong.
