Not sure whether to post this here or in Trip Planning but does anyone know why there don’t seem to be any Eurostar services to the Netherlands this weekend? No info on the Eurostar services updates page.

It looks like the timetables for the direct trains haven't be loaded yet starting from 8/2/2025. There might also be engineering works of course.

The direct services from Amsterdam to London were supposed to resume at that time, but perhaps they are blocking the timetables until they receive confirmation on the exact date.

I think it must be engineering as there are return services available the following week. Just frustrating they don’t update the services disruption page.

My friend I was enquiring on behalf of has now booked flights instead - this is where trains fall down. If Eurostar had some clear info on their website as to what is happening that weekend with services he might well have gone by train.

Today the new Eurostar terminal at Amsterdam Central (in the former Amstelpassage under the tracks) was tested. I hope a link to BlueSky works for everyone as some photos where posted by NS International (and I couldn't find them anywhere else yet).

Is there a Eurostar Premier lounge within the new terminal, and if so is it opening in this launch period or after the April shut-down?

NS has today posted a short 38-second video (in Dutch) of the new facilities at Amsterdam CS:

It shows security and passport control as well as the passenger waiting area.

This article (https://www.treinreiziger.nl/eerste...-gearriveerd-vanaf-2026-vijf-treinen-per-dag/) seems to have a picture of a map (from NS) which does indicate that there will be a Premier lounge. However, the article did not specify whether the lounge is ready yet or not.
It seems they've forgotten more on that map, such as escalators to the platform. (From what I found online I understood they've rotated the existing stairs to the middle tunnel 180 degrees to have them end up in the new terminal)

Platform 13, which is temporary so an adjusted route to the platform is now being used. The new stairs and escalators from the terminal lead to platform 15 which will be used after the temporary stop of direct services from Amsterdam late March/early April.

Will this mean you don't have to get off for at Brussels for Passport control?

Correct, that will happen in the terminals in the Netherlands. However from end of March till somewhere in April there will be engineering works at Amsterdam Centraal and then passport control will temporary happen in Brussels again.l

After those works the capacity increases as at platform 15 the entire platform can be used for Eurostar. In the current temporary situation one half of platform 13 is used.

An IRJ article today has dates and capacities:
• until March 30, Eurostar services will accommodate a maximum of 400 passengers per train from Amsterdam, representing a 10% increase
• March 30 - April 22, the terminal will be closed again to facilitate further platform renovations
• from April 22 passenger capacity will increase to 600 from Amsterdam representing a 220% increase, with a 160% increase in capacity from Rotterdam, and
• by September 2025 full capacity of up to 650 passengers from Amsterdam will be introduced.

I hope to use the Amsterdam to London service. Prices are very high at times, £195 one way.
It might be worth looking at flights instead. Even with extras for baggage and pte booked seats you will probably get a better price than this.

A lot of confusion from people here as checkin isn’t open for another hour but display says please enter UK terminal so constant stream of people trying to enter and get told to turn around

Already seen one guy flailing his hands about in fustration

And nobody walking out is letting anybody they are passing know either

And people thinking they need to use the UK terminal for Eurostar Red services

Edit: thru security and can confirm afaik no premium lounge so far, that area shown on the map as such as sealed off as the door to the train

No automated passport machines, all manual booths

This scematic diagram of the terminal layout (from the link already mentioned above) quite clearly shows the rear part of the terminal being underneath the bridge carrying tracks 14 and 15. That old steel bridge was being refurbished as part of the current works at Amsterdam Central, so likely construction work for that part of the terminal started at a later moment and is not yet finished.
That also explains the additional capacity after the temporary stop of direct services end of March.
The business premier lounge is behind that part of the terminal (see this drawing), so cannot be used at the moment as you can't get there after passing border control (and access to the platform from the lounge is also not yet possible)

yea that makes sence
we left via a staff door in that narrow section into a service corridor then round a cornor guarded via a temp barrier wall then up stairs to platform 13, beyond that narrow section was what looked like a glass door
