Yes but the referendum has now been passed I to law
I have just been following it and it went up 2000 in 30 seconds. Just wish i was given a penny for every vote!Petition to Revoke the UK’s Article 50 Notification now stands at
1,155,137
signatures after less than two days.
At least the Scotland Football Team doesn't have the power to completely destroy people's livelihoods.Which is worse - Theresa May or the Scotland Football team??
I doubt the Scotland fans expected or wanted that result. Perhaps they should create a petition to have the result annulled.
I find it more interesting where the highest percentages of the electorate have signed the petition: Cambridge, Oxford East, Oxford West & Abbingdon, Bristol West, Bath, Sheffield Hallam, York Central, Norwich, Manchester Withington, Cardiff North/Central/West : these are all University constituencies.Northern Ireland doesn't seem too interested in the issue, even though most of the trouble has been around them
That's about 500,000 not even from the UK...Looking through the raw petition data, there's also:
2,560 signatures from Australia
10,536 from France
3,984 from the US
28 from Russia
1 from the British Antarctic Territory
and 1 from North Korea!
1,261,367 from the UK if you were wondering
And? Plenty of Brits live abroad. Plenty travel abroad for work. Plenty go abroad on holiday. That's about 500,000 not even from the UK...

I don't see how you get half-a-million from those figures.
The current count is at 1,688,600 with 1,261,367 from the UK which means 426,233 are from outside the UK
Should someone who has moved from the UK really have a say?
Surely you mean: Other EU countries?Yes! What about all the Brits living in EU countries?
Arguably they'll be more affected, so why wouldn't you allow them to have a say?
Well yes, but since the UK will shortly not be an EU country I thought it was quite obvious what was meant.Surely you mean: Other EU countries?
It says 2,002,344 now...It was on 1,520,000 ish when I posted the figures earlier.
It's now 1,984,360 with the same
1,261,367 from the UK - I think something's bugged out.
So a vote of no confidence would only force general elections? Wouldn't there be a possibility to form a goverment of national unity?
I'm led to believe that May might have everything she needs to make the UK crash out in the 29th of March, unless there's a way to revoke article 50. I'm pretty sure someone in the EU27 will vote against the extension!
She seems to want to take the UK down with her and blame the disaster on the EU and the MPs. Her last speech doesn't give me much confidence to be honest...
Trying to follow it - been watching the Mighty Oranje demolish Belarus in a vain attempt to get reality back into my life....- the EU have given us two dates, a shorter one if the bill fails so we can come up with a better, softer one? Night night, hup Holland.Seems like both sides have lost their nerve today. May’s rhetoric completely toned down, and EU now joined in with the kicking the can down the road. Did the EU realise no deal might just actually happen?

Which they can't do until December as she won the confidence vote.should either the Tories move to oust May
Which they can't do until December as she won the confidence vote.
She can't be got rid as leader of the Conservative party, so the only way she can go is if some Conservative MPs cute against a motion of no confidence. They isn't likely to happen.Ah but wasn't that vote about being leader of the Conservative party?
