I always thought the plan ,when they were pres, was 050 for bits and fixing 086. I can't imagine they need any more spares given the amount they now own

Interesting news today from WNXX is that, subject to absolute confirmation, ESH have acquired Europhoenix Rail (EPR), if true then ESH will inherit the EPR operating licence, unknown at this stage whether either or both of the EPR and ESH names will survive for future use

If true what will happen?

Well it should mean that 60063 can get out and about with ESH bidding for work, as I understand it EPR had their own drivers, shunters and control staff who now have no jobs, I guess they would welcome any offers that may be forthcoming from ESH

RAIL has reported that Europhoenix train licence will be sold to DBI Holdings to allow the company to run its own trains, after buying the remaining Class 60s from DB Cargo UK.

DBI currently uses Colas and GB Railfreight to transport its aggregates.

Because it’s in my magazine (latest issue released today) I can’t find the article online to post here, sorry admin! If anyone can please post it.

Thanks for the info @Jorge Da Silva and confirms what was reported on WNXX a week or so ago, some way to go yet though with ESH having only one serviceable loco (60063) at present

If a report is correct it would appear that the ESH brand is to be absorbed into the Europhoenix operation by 'Europhoenix Holdings Ltd' who have acquired 'Europhoenix Rail Ltd (EPR)', Daniel Beecroft of ESH Rail Services is said to be (a) Director of Europhoenix Holdings, as of now I can't see any alterations to any of the companies on Gov.UK but I'm sure things will become clearer in the coming days

Anyone know what they're going to trade as ? Epr or esh? Epr has some reputable weight behind the brand

Came across a rumour/claim that 60063 was going to make an appearance at the Butterley MRC 'Ales on Rails' event this weekend, no mention of it at all on the MRC website so unlikely to be happening, one to keep an eye on though?

For a while it was noted on the BLS gen page as a possibility, which was then amended to being unlikely, then any reference was removed entirely. The MRB’s roster for the event doesn’t mention it at all.

Just seen this on Facebook, looks like people have been robbing the Alsager 60s? Awful stuff if it is the case.

News courtesy of @DJGREW999 on another thread that 60063 turned its wheels today as the meat in an EPR 37218/37407 sandwich on the early running 1405 0Z38 Toton TMD to Rectory Junction (Colwick Colas)

I presume intended to sell to another enthusiast, can't see a scrupulous company buying it will know it fell off the back of a lorry.

I think many components have codes stamped on them so imagine spome components are traceable if they fall into legitime hand.

Thanks Dan, I doubt 60082 will make it out of Crewe in one piece!

What location is SANDAR BS? its probably Toton but I've never seen this referenced
