Most definitely, lack of plugs in 2nd and the old style catering car

pictures on my flickr - had a run form York to Kings Cross the other day.
Strange, cheap hybrid livery. I also wonder if the engines will be changed to MTU to keep the fleet as one
To bring the set up to spec with the rest of the East Coast HST fleet. Its the interior of the train that passengers notice most, and the ex-EMT HST is a pretty big odd one out in that respect. Why would a mallard interior be a priority though? the original ones are pretty nice?
Quite, VP185s remain and they remain based at Neville Hill.
As far as I'm aware the current silver/grey livery will be the default livery for any potential new operator that may takeover in the future.I guess NX livery is most likely, unless the new EC has its own livery in mind?

It's definitely worse, it's a 70's design and it looks it. Not a scratch on the Mallard interiors, and that's excluding the extra features that are missing i.e power sockets etc.
