All you can do is to keep your fingers crossed and try to remain positive....

Just reading a few of these posts, if you haven't removed your personal details from your CV then you're application will 100% be binned and from what I was hearing last week, it sounds like a lot of people have made this mistake

At the very least it seems my well written statements weren't detected as AI haha, I'm assuming that checks already done at this point.

When uploading your CV they ask that you remove any personal details from your CV (name, DoB etc.) For the purpose of recruiting blindly for diversity.

I’ve noticed mine mentions a potential invite to interview and yours a notice of shortlisting. Maybe once they check your results you’d also receive what I have and be invited to interview?

Nope maybe just means the last few spaces are still to be decided on, I've passed my assessments and got the shortlisted email.

Why would your name need to be removed? As surely the name is needed?
I only had my name, contact number, email and address on there

The details are removed from the CV when you uploaded it as they do blind recruitment etc.....
If you pass the CV and competencies, they then marry it up with you contact details on the form and let you know.....
What is not clear is that if you did leave your contact details on your CV ...whether this is a automatic fail.

I doubt it personally. Ignoring speculation on the order of their recruitment process, that sounds very non-committal to me. It's not a no, but it's not exactly a yes either.

However, I do hope it's good news for you!!

We require all applicants to complete the online application form for a specific role to ensure that all applications can be screened on a consistent basis. You can attach your CV to your application, but as we operate blind shortlisting, please make sure you have removed all personal information (Name, DOB, address, email address etc.)

On the application, it had that bit in red but with a more instructive tone. EMR does seem to be one of the only TOCs that are more strict on this CV part but that is because they operate a Blind Shortlisting that is aimed at not discriminating but solely picking candidates based on relevant experiences etc from their CV. The CVs most likely have an application ID that only HR will know of, the Driver managers I assume are the ones who go through each CV for their relevant Depot and then pick the ones they like.

HR will then crosscheck the Actual Application from said passed CVs to make sure Age etc and all relevant details including I assume if the candidate already has assessments completed to the EMR Standard(National I believe) before sending interview invites to the shortlisted.

They’re really hot on diversity so want it to be as fair and blind as possible so there’s no bias.

I never saw that as that’s in a FAQ’s section rather than on the application itself. Kinda feels like it’s there to catch people out. Will have to remember next time for them and other TOC’s to look at the FAQ’s section if there is one

I also had Nebosh and Iosh qualifications in my previous life but I guess I am incapable of driving a train. I would have thought those skills would be desirable at least.

You definitely some relevant experience to fall on so I'd still if I were you keep applying around. Recruitment in the railway from experience can be very hit and miss but once it all clicks it is can be a rewarding Career, all worth the intial hassle.

It is no biggie. I am currently putting a big chunk of cash towards commercial flying but again no guaranteed job at the end of it although due to the money you need the competition for places isn't as fierce as the trains. I applied for a few train jobs over the past few years but distance has always been an issue. Had the notification come through and the one at Boston would have been perfect as I live less than a mile from the station.
