Seems that the pool needs replenishing then as new trains come forward. I was in the last campaign for Kettering, and now sitting in the pool. St Pancras would be great as I have family nearby. Great to see nevertheless for others out there !

It's £58239. That's qualified but at London you get £3300 London weighting so £61500 at London and £58239 elsewhere.

Can any current EMR drivers or Ex drivers describe the work out of St Pancras? Is it intense? How busy does it get during peak times? I was very surprised with C2C and how busy it was compared to what I thought I knew at the time, so I assume I've probably once again underestimated how busy EMR is.

Work is pretty good. A few Sheffield jobs a few Corby jobs either two or one and a Nottingham. Couple to Derby and a couple of jobs with bits and bobs. All guarded work. Corby is six stops each way and nothing is very intensive. Can be very busy on all routes .

I've not seen the application form so unsure whether this option is viable. Can you write something along the lines of "References available upon request"? I believe references are pretty much the last hurdle before getting the job, so (to my mind) shouldn't be requested until you know you have the job (subject to references)...

To give you an idea… I drive for them and my previous manager didn’t even know anything about it until I handed my notice in! I’d be surprised if they’re checked!

If someone is a line manager they will expect their professional details to be given for them to provide a reference, ie their name, job title, work phone number, business address etc. That’s standard practice across most industries.

Normally a job offe will be made subject to medical and references, and referees will only be contacted once the offer has been accepted.

It says ‘Please remember to remove all personal details from your CV and any additional documents’ It obviously sounds self explanatory but I’ve never come across having to do that before when sending a cv in so can I double check that it is literally that. That I would need to delete my name, address & d.o.b from the cv before uploading?
Should I also delete the years I worked at certain places or years attended school as this would give away an approximate age or is that too much?….. apologies if a silly question, just as I said I’ve never had to do that before!

Well you can be 21 so they won’t be expecting everybody to have years and years behind them. Realistically you could come straight out of uni with no work experience and get through.

Just remove your name, DOB, address, they’re quite strict. If there’s anything that identifies you, I know my DM bins them. I was clear to make sure gender wasn’t obvious throughout too just to be safe. Don’t mess with your work history or anything like that, that’s fine.

The name and personal info thing is two fold, they want a completely blind process as they want diversity, but also, you’re going for a driver role so need to be able to follow instruction and pick out the details. If successful they will do all the checking with the OPC and you only have to do the ones that you haven’t done. No written communication test.
