Possibly. Anyway back on topic as @43096 isn't very happy!Maybe the WSP or sanding had a fault?
Is there any date for when a refurb or repaint of the EMR units will commence?

It's a good job there wasn't a buffer stop at a terminus as this train would have smashed into it!Trust me, with everything working it’s still possible to slide a train. Don’t know why but can assure it happens.
Rumours of the GBRf liveried class 50s and barriers from Leicester. It seems like they are having another go tomorrow (10 Nov) of delivering the first 360 to Cricklewood - https://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/train/K04695/2020-11-10/detailed
That was definitely planned and the plans don't seem to have changed. I would imagine they will go for FISA Leans to try and keep a consistent product, at least on the non IC services.I definitely recall a plan to reseat to 2+2?
Based on the Class 170 thread which seems to suggest those are getting FISA LEAN seats (good choice!) - does anyone know if that is what these are going to be getting? I definitely recall a plan to reseat to 2+2?
Fisa lean? If they use these on 360's that's not too bad as these seats are quite comfy on the GA units. That was definitely planned and the plans don't seem to have changed. I would imagine they will go for FISA Leans to try and keep a consistent product, at least on the non IC services.
Although 50007/049 are also reported as taking some Mark 3s from Leicester to Bishop Auckland tomorrow.Rumours of the GBRf liveried class 50s and barriers from Leicester.
The existing seats are E3000 surely? Or do you mean pulling them from their outgoing stock?Fisa lean? If they use these on 360's that's not too bad as these seats are quite comfy on the GA units.
I would have thought they would have just opted for the 2+2 Grammer IC3000's instead, as they already have this type so just swap them for the lower density layout instead of retrofitting an entriely different kind of seat.
Plus, an IC 3000 is more comfy than a Fisa lean right?
The below working is timed for 45mph max? Hmm?Although 50007/049 are also reported as taking some Mark 3s from Leicester to Bishop Auckland tomorrow.
Yes they are, what I was saying was that surely it makes more sense to just put in a 2+2 version of them than possibly messing about with Fisa leans as post 427 refers to.The existing seats are E3000 surely? Or do you mean pulling them from their outgoing stock?

I was aware of all Desiros having the EC3000, I don't know why I said IC3000!360s have Grammer E3000 seats as all Desiros do (the IC3000 is the higher backed seat found in the EMR 158s among other places). They could I suppose remanufacture them to allow a 2+2 layout (they're the same base width) but I suspect they will just replace them.
I'm a big fan of the Grammer E3000, but the FISA LEAN which I've also sat in is a very similar seat.
A pair of locomotives has set off from Leicester to Ilford, I am not sure if this is definitely for the 360 move but the timings seem to add up. It is claiming on RTT that the locos are 50049 and 50007 with “empty coaching stock” which I would assume is the barrier coaches. I could be mistaken but here is the link - https://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/train/K04696/2020-11-10/detailed#allox_id=0
Yes it was those two, top and tailing a pair of barriers. Although 007 had another number on it as well (I don’t do numbers, but noticed it had two).
Is it still carrying 50014 on one side ? If so it has been like it for a while, actually since it's repaint at Eastleigh.
Perhaps someone at the class 50 organisation, or GBRf liked 50014.
The below working is timed for 45mph max? Hmm?
If it was a 47 they are usually timed for 60mph max.
Ah yes, I read a thread about a recent SPAD and saw the 45mph restriction is now a thing, it all makes sense now.Unbraked unit drags are now a blanket 45mph restriction.
If tomorrows service runs that will be the 2nd one.Only one went today? I thought more than one was going at a time?
I didn't know that. We all learn something new everyday!Further 4 car Wednesday and 4 car Thursday, unable to operate 8 car drags due to depot layout restrictions at Ilford
Will it be the 50's tomorrow as I couldn't see them today!Which handily gives a 12-car set to EMR for testing and training.Further 4 car Wednesday and 4 car Thursday, unable to operate 8 car drags due to depot layout restrictions at Ilford
Can they operate 12 cars at 110mph or will they be restricted like GWR’s 387s?
