Hasn't 211 always been Southern's? Thanks for the gen anyway, that means only 2 left with them. Cascade going along nicely now!

207's now returned to Southern. Saw it heading to London Bridge this morning.

Indeed it has!

I spotted 377502 and 377508 pulling into Victoria yesterday afternoon in shiny new Southeastern vinyls.

Did spot a revinyled Class 377 next to a refreshed Class 375 today in the carriage sidings by Grosvenor Bridge; the shades of blue do look rather similar, but I guess up close might be a different matter.

Apologies if this has been answered elsewhere. Why has SE's policy on first class provision on their 375s changed for the refurbished 375/9s, which have two sections against the rest of the refurbished sub-classes' single section? Is it intended to allocate the 9s to specific workings where extra first class is deemed necessary? This sounds like a rostering complication doomed to fail.

My guess is that they don't have any extra high-capacity (3+2) seat bodies to offset the First Class (2+2) seating that was to be replaced. Whereas the other /6 /7 and /8 refurbs could just have the existing seating re-shuffled and the bodies of the former First Class seating re-purposed with standard class moquette.

That's my theory at any rate. The original Electrostar seating bodies are probably not produced any longer, hence the "Ironing Boards" that we all love to complain about nowadays.

The only reason first class was moved on the 375/6/7/8s was to increase standard class capacity on the low density units.

Thanks for that. Have any Metro routes benefited from cascaded networkers? I was hoping my peak train to and from Victoria would be 8 coaches but still 6 is the norm and 4 quite common.

Quite painful to see rammed trains without being able to board whilst 319s are going into storage and could've been a good stop-gap if forward planning by the DfT and NR had been thought about the past few years.

seems to issues with lack of berthing space which is affecting SE having extra stock.

That's what I meant by the DfT and NR failing to plan ahead and provide more sidings whilst continuously giving short term franchise extensions the past 6 years. That's stopped 319s being used.

But aren't these 377s being kept in Southern sidings, so should allow Networker cadcades?
