Does anyone have an idea what the purpose of this new length of track will be, it's currently isolated from the rest of the sidings, but sited on a newly laid concrete pad about 30-40m long, with a short gap in the middle of the rails. I was thinking some sort of new weighbridge perhaps?
Picture taken from P3 alongside the waiting room, if it helps with location. Out of shot to the right, but roughly in line with the gap in the rails, is a small blue container, possibly something to do with the new installation?
