Due to the snow there are no trains stopping at Dunbar despite both East Coast and Cross Country running a partial service.
The official reason behind dropping Dunbar from the emergency timetable is that the train speed must be kept high to attain traction during snowy/icy conditions. The incline to the station from the south causes problems therefore the train companies won't slow down and stop in Dunbar.
Interestingly this wasn't an issue during the heavy snow fall at the beginning of the year and the conspiracy theorists are very busy!!
Does anyone out there know the 'real' story?
