Can any one tell me which locomotives are working as yard pilots in Doncaster? I thought I saw a silver 08 with a name but couldn't make it out. I thought DB had gone to a policy of using the train engine to shunt
Could it be one of the 'Euro Cargo Rail' coloured ones EWS repainted a while back or is that dumped in Toytown?
Thanks chaps! I had seen the Eastleigh one still going when i was last there. I find the little 08's strangely comforting.
Does anyone know where else they are still working. I know there are two at the RTC and Laira still seems to have a couple
... But neither of those are DBS Depots or Yards though.
or are we only interested in freight yard gronks?
You missed one, 09017 from the NRM, on hire to Freightliner at York wagon shops.

Cue everyone saying I missed one. I'm well aware there's a lot not on that list - mainly those belonging to hire companies, industrial operators and preserved lines (and all the little ownership grey areas in between).
I always find the Shunterspot forum a valuable resource for, well, shunters. Gives directions to see them too.The list you posted is fantastic. I am not to worried about preserved examples but was interested in the remaining "wild" examples of a once widespread fleet.
If anyone can add to the list fantastic but lets not make it a criticism of someoneelse helpful work!
