Strangely, London is one of those places I don't get bored of, although admittedly since the withdrawal of the 'slam door' stock the railways there do not hold as much interest for me. I tend to find on my trips there now I spend about half the time on the railways, and the rest looking round the city - there are so many tourist sites, museums and other places of interest to visit I find. I often tend to combine railway trips with other things - for example, when I went to California last month on a 7 day railway trip, I added 3 days on to the beginning so I could spend some time looking round Los Angeles and San Diego. I saw no point in going that distance and spending the entire trip chasing trains - though there are plenty of people who would!
AlexS commented on the social side and at the GCR I think it's very true is very true for a fair number of people. I see a quite a few of my railway friends outside the hobby, be it for a social drink, or even going to see bands together.
I'm the same these days, if I'm going out for a photo I try to combine it with somewhere else.
Railways used to play a bigger role in my life. I used to commute to uni by train/metro most days for 3 years. These days I tend to drive most places.
I would love to, but most of my mates are unreachable to do a social meet elsewhere, but I do love the social side of going to RailUK meets, if it does involve

The railways has always played a part in my life, every Saturday I'm out photting something, you just know where to look 
Of course other things come into play in the week.
I've never got bored of the railways. Not once. Abit downbeat a few times (end of loco hauled, this and that) but nothing so much to ever put it on the back burner.

You can't exactly compare London and Leeds in terms of shops!
Nah, my life revolves around my school life, music, drama, my A levels etc. There's loads going on in my life besides the railways and I wouldn't have it any other way.

Yes. I love railways, particularly HSTs, Voyagers, 185s, 175s and 158s. I love travelling by train, particularly by Voyager and HST. But it's not usually the destination I go for, it's the train, the miles, the experience.
I love travelling over required track, especially track I need to cover, more so if it's on a HST. Even more so on top of that if it's Valentas.
I love being a basher, I can't imagine life any other way.

I'm proud of my interest in railways, and sad as it may seem, I choosemy friends on the basis of; do I get on whith them? If the answer is yes, then Are they OK with my hobby? If that's yes then fine, I'll probably be good mates with them. If it's no then I I'll probably keep away from them

Yes would be the short answer.
Depending on which Valentas are out and where, what track is being used by diversions (if it's required for all-time, required for that traction and so forth), what traction is being used on the diversions...would be a longer answer.

There was the Tyne Valley HSTs; yes I have been all the way to Carlisle/Newcastle for the express purpose of riding along in an HST and managed 4 for the whole day (two returns). Although, I was meeting people from on here and it wasn't bashing as much as you'd have thought. I don't regularly do that, but it was a good day

My life doesn't revolve around the railways, though I do enjoy working and travelling on them. I have far more important things in life than just trains.
Never. Nor have I ever spotted (frankly I don't understand it) and take very few photos - only for art purposes. My rail interest consists of modelling and reading (I like History and Geography too) and I prefer train travel as a rule - I like travel anyway. I like the atmosphere, the design, engineering, the speed and power. Design is something else I'm interested in anyway. Art, graphics, buildings, interiors, towns, cities..
I always try to travel by train where I can, I don't mind driving my own car, but am not keen on being a passenger and hate air travel and especially bus travel (well those pesky rail replacement buses). Train IS the most civilised, comfortable, democratised as a rule - and stylish in some cases too. Incidentally, I also like cars, cycles, motorbikes and narrow boats and am not a member of greenpeace, despite rumours. I just want to see more train travel as it has a lot to offer.
But I don't do X because a loco is on the front, I'm not the slightest bit interested in numbers, and if you tell me a number I don't really know what you are talking about. As a result I detest being labelled a train spotter - especially as very few enthusiasts I meet seem to be spotters - and we seems to spend our whole life telling people we're not as (unfortunately) that part of the hobby gets so much stick.
