Is it just me or do Voyager (Class 220) wheels look too small? I know they work perfectly well but they seem ill-proportioned as compared to other classes.

The difference isn't as great as you might think, but, yes, the B5005 inside frame bogies fitted to the 220s have a smaller wheel diameter than is usual: 780mm, compared, for example, to the 840mm diameter of the wheels fitted to the various Sprinter classes.
The new class 700s for Thameslink are using a similar design.
Is there any noticeable difference to acceleration/ top speed between the 220 and 221 due to the different wheel diameters?
