I think that silk mills level crossing is still there, on the Great Western main line near Taunton. Gates never opened to road traffic which now passes over a new bridge.
I think that it was/is? used for access by road/rail machines during engineering work.
Apart from a tiny bit of tarmac, there's nothing left of the original crossing - lights, barriers, road surface - all gone. As you say, however, it is now used as an access point by Network Rail.
