Complete loss of all signalling that is controlled by Morpeth SB (Cramlington to Widdrington)What exactly happened at Morpeth? I saw National Rail said signalling failure and someone above mentioned points. Do national rail cover points, signals, etc all within their 'signalling failure' category? Was it anything wind related as well?
Is there also a problem at Newcastle? 1E18 seems to have taken 40 minutes to get about 200 yards... https://signalmaps.co.uk/#newcastle:2993Emergency special working to be implemented by 1700, 1 x LNER per hour each direction, XC plan to run 2 northbound services only.
I believe that maybe a datafeed issue, traksy as well not showing trains moving (plus no update on realtimetrains). I looked a few minutes ago at London and all similar. Trains seem to move just after 16:00 then nothing. Is there also a problem at Newcastle? 1E18 seems to have taken 40 minutes to get about 200 yards... https://signalmaps.co.uk/#newcastle:2993
I wondered about that but various trains are showing as cancelled southbound at Newcastle for a power failure on top of the signalling failure: https://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/service/gb-nr:C03850/2023-02-20/detailedI believe that maybe a datafeed issue, traksy as well not showing trains moving (plus no update on realtimetrains). There wasn't a technical problem when I came through at 1400, but already the station was full of abandoned Azumas. We were sat on the bridge for a good 15 minutes. Is there also a problem at Newcastle? 1E18 seems to have taken 40 minutes to get about 200 yards... https://signalmaps.co.uk/#newcastle:2993
How long can an Azuma consist be? Even once you ran out of platform tagging more on the back might be helpful for getting empty trains into the correct place If you only have one path an hour.Emergency special working to be implemented by 1700, 1 x LNER per hour each direction, XC plan to run 2 northbound services only.
9 car fixed formations. Not sure about Edinburgh, but it’s definitely not possible to form an 18 car set at Newcastle as it would clog up the whole station, and in any case I’m not sure they’re permitted to work in such formations apart from to recover a failed unit. How long can an Azuma consist be?
