Complete loss of all signalling that is controlled by Morpeth SB (Cramlington to Widdrington)
I was on 1W11 which was terminated at Newcastle, we went past 1S10 on the King Edward Bridge which had been sitting there for 30+ mins (and is still sitting there now). I wouldn't have been happy to have been on that just to see 1W11 allowed into Newcastle
Newcastle is carnage with a long queue already for Rail Replacement buses

800104 on 1W16 1200 Kings Cross - Inverness is on diesel at Newcastle ready to go via the Tyne Valley, standing room only. They clearly aren’t expecting Morpeth to reopen any time soon.
The queue outside Newcastle station for buses is by far the longest I’ve ever seen it, even during major disruption. It wouldn’t surprise me if there were well in excess of 1000 passengers in the queue. The queue is from the bus pickup outside Sainsburys, looping all the way around the outside of the station portico and the taxi rank, then into the station and on to the concourse.
At least LNER, XC and Lumo are trying their best to move people. TPE and Northern have given up.

Quite a lengthy queue at Edinburgh Waverley when I passed through about half an hour ago. Several Azumas and CrossCountry units scattered about the station.
Passengers instructed to join the queueing system which stretches from the East Side of the station all the way to the ramp by Platform 19.

I believe that maybe a datafeed issue, traksy as well not showing trains moving (plus no update on realtimetrains). I looked a few minutes ago at London and all similar. Trains seem to move just after 16:00 then nothing.

There wasn't a technical problem when I came through at 1400, but already the station was full of abandoned Azumas. We were sat on the bridge for a good 15 minutes.
The queue for buses was enormous. The 1345 to Carlisle went past me and looked a quarter full. Go figure.
Real Time Trains reporting issues on their data feeds, so it's probably that.
How long can an Azuma consist be? Even once you ran out of platform tagging more on the back might be helpful for getting empty trains into the correct place If you only have one path an hour.

1W16 went via the Tyne Valley, departed Newcastle in the path of the cancelled 15:40 Northern service to Carlisle.
Newcastle only has three platforms that can take a 9 car formation. An 8 car voyager has one extra platform (5/6) available. Between Platforms 2, 3, 4 and 5/6 they have to accommodate TPE too, so with a TPE and an XC set in the station there’s only space for two LNER trains. Anything beyond that either has to go back south or go to Heaton.
Lumo had an 803 dumped out of the way in P1.
9 car fixed formations. Not sure about Edinburgh, but it’s definitely not possible to form an 18 car set at Newcastle as it would clog up the whole station, and in any case I’m not sure they’re permitted to work in such formations apart from to recover a failed unit.
