Have just been perusing through Reddit and have come across a post in which a Javelin appears to be off the rails at a siding in Ramsgate. Can anyone corroborate?

I was walking over the railway bridge in Ramsgate and saw what appears to be a derailed High Speed train with lots of workers on site.

Seems to have gone through buffers in a siding. Thankfully on an ecs movement from the looks of it.

Just saw the same thing on Reddit and came here to see if there was any discussion around it but all seems oddly silent on it

I wonder if there may have been an adhesion factor in that headshunt. Seems to be quite a bit of vegetation nearby.

Just seen a picture circulating online showing the 395 unit now has graffiti on its side. That was quick!!

There is a video on Youtube

The video show the Javelin train which has run off the end of a siding into the gravel. Network Rail engineers are inspecting it. The carriages are all upright, and it looks as though the second carriage has remained on the tracks.

Also looks like another 395 has hit a tree, this time near Wye. Sounds like it'll be fun for commuters if the train is out of service for a while..

I know it’s hard to say but the damage does look more superficial. Hopefully not out of traffic for too long.

I seem to recall there was one a few years back that had to be sent back to Japan for repairs after hitting some stops - fingers crossed!
