Does anyone know for certain please what is the minimum delay for TfL to provide a refund (full or partial). I have seen 15 minutes, 30 minutes and 60 minutes all quoted.
Journey was last Friday from South Harrow to Southfields. Tapped in at 12:30 and Piccadilly Line train left at 12:33 for Earl's Court. There was a 10 minute wait in the tunnel after Barons Court, which the driver said resulted from a problem on a train in front.
Reached the District Line (Platform 6) at 12:10. After several minutes the first train arrived at Platform 6 for Ealing. It was still there when a train for Richmond arrived at Platform 5. At that stage the Ealing train was marked as "held" but after a few minutes this changed to "next train" and it departed. Moments later a Wimbledon train arrived at Platform 6. It was crush-loaded and the waiting crowd took several minutes to board. It eventually left at 12:28 arriving at Southfields at 12:39, and I tapped out at 12:43. (I noticed that the next Wimbledon Branch train would terminate at Parsons Green!).
I was amazed that LT's main service to a world-class event could be operated so sloppily.
