Does anyone know for certain please what is the minimum delay for TfL to provide a refund (full or partial). I have seen 15 minutes, 30 minutes and 60 minutes all quoted.

Journey was last Friday from South Harrow to Southfields. Tapped in at 12:30 and Piccadilly Line train left at 12:33 for Earl's Court. There was a 10 minute wait in the tunnel after Barons Court, which the driver said resulted from a problem on a train in front.

Reached the District Line (Platform 6) at 12:10. After several minutes the first train arrived at Platform 6 for Ealing. It was still there when a train for Richmond arrived at Platform 5. At that stage the Ealing train was marked as "held" but after a few minutes this changed to "next train" and it departed. Moments later a Wimbledon train arrived at Platform 6. It was crush-loaded and the waiting crowd took several minutes to board. It eventually left at 12:28 arriving at Southfields at 12:39, and I tapped out at 12:43. (I noticed that the next Wimbledon Branch train would terminate at Parsons Green!).

I was amazed that LT's main service to a world-class event could be operated so sloppily.

There's something wrong with your timings in this post.

District trains use platforms 1-4, westbound train to Wimbledon use pfms. 3/4.
You just missed the 12.10 departure, and the next scheduled trains were: 12.15.45 ex-Edgware Road, 12.20.45 ex-City, 12.25.45 ex-Edgware Road

You can claim delay compensation equivalent to 100% of the fare paid, when delayed by 15+ mins on the Underground on PAYG. As I understand it, this is calculated by looking at the nominal journey time without disruption (I'm not sure whether they use the Working Timetable for this, or some sort of journey-planner derived figure) and comparing this to your actual touch in and out times.

A check on the TfL journey planner earlier today suggests the normal journey time is in the order of 53 to 55 minutes (allowing 3 minutes walking time at each end (to/from barriers, I guess).

Apologies all for all the errors. Just as well I'm not running a railway!

Departure from S Harrow was 11:33.

At Earls Court I meant Platforms 4/3 rather than 6/5. (I was fixated on 6 for the return journey.)

Clearly the first 2 departures mentioned (12.15.45 and 12.20.45) were either not in service or had missed their paths. I assume the one I caught was the 12.25.45. (When do you think the Richmond train still sitting at Platform 3 might have been due out?)

Thank you AlterEgo, I'll look there.
