I was meant to be on the 0804 from Haslemere, but due to traffic I was late getting there.
There were two trains to Waterloo after that, 0832 and 0839. These were both delayed, and the 32 left first. The guard informed us we were 21L so could get delay repay. This was meant to be non stop between Guildford and Waterloo. We stopped at Woking and were told they had just updated them to terminate there. We were transferee to the next service which was the 0839 off Haslemere (easy to tell as it was 444040)
I have a regular ticket, not an advance, and a reservation on the 1003 from Euston.
Since the initial delay was my problem - not allowing for all the traffic, does this affect any claim on the next train?
It appears that the 0832 if it was running properly would have allowed me to get the Euston train as well as the 0804.
Quite an annoying question with several factors, but any help would be gratefully received

. You are still entitled to claim for the entire journey - but only for the actual delay to your journey compared to travelling on the 10:23, not on the 10:03. Having a reservation on the 10:03 means you have a guaranteed seat on that train - on a flexible ticket, it means nothing else.
