Slightly off topic but can anyone shed any light on the reasons for opening Warrington West?

And does anyone what the 4 trains per day will be?

1 train in each direction morning and evening peak.

No, they have need been interested or wanted to. If/when they get the second train along there that won't stop either.

I don't think so, but Langley Mill has "grandfather rights" for HSTs to stop as they have done so since before the rules came in on long trains at short platforms. Ilkeston post-dates those rules so longer trains can't stop unless they have Selective Door Opening (which EMT HSTs don't).

Thanks for the info, I wondered what the reasoning behind it was . Maybe more stops at Ilkeston on the Norwich to Liverpool service may happen one day.
