It has been used very occasionally. DC ran some spoil trains from Willesden in 2022.

A friend of mine was the driver on that 6H85 that ended at Alsager. He says it was the points heaters failing over a large area around Crewe causing the issues. Hopefully that'll get looked at as it's not seemingly getting any warmer!

Will be waiting to see if it means there are some days that I can see two DCR workings within an hour or two on the South London Line - this along with the already fairly well established Grain-Chessington one. It might be too much to ask, for both to have a 56 on the front but a 60 on each would also be quite satisfactory.

It was no tail gunner causing the issue.
The connection from the up reversible that runs from Yate middle to the down Badminton is out of use so trains have to stop on the up Badminton and go east while not blocking up the up for too long so a tail loco is needed. I was originally incorrectly told the points failure was in the quarry.

Haven't seen or heard anything myself, it's possible I suppose but could it be that 56045 & 56103 are both currently at Rectory Junction on exam? there aren't any schedules at the moment for anything out of Rectory or elsewhere to either Chaddesden or Willesden

Haven't seen or heard anything myself, it's possible I suppose but could it be that 56045 & 56103 are both currently at Rectory Junction on exam? there aren't any schedules at the moment for anything out of Rectory or elsewhere to either Chaddesden or Willesden

Will be Sunday! Train to watch out for ex Chaddesden
