Good afternoon chaps. Does anyone know if there is any stock left for 50008 to collect from bistol Barton hills? There's an STP from Barton hills to Wembley LMD on Saturday and was wondering if is likely to run? I know last week it ran back to Leicester without taking a stock set to Barton hills but maybe there's some still there or something?

Certainly can't see any schedule at the moment for 50008 to go back to Bristol, my gut feeling is that the Bristol - Wembley - Bristol trips for saturday are just showing because they're in the system, I don't know how many sets Chiltern have but if there's anything currently at Bristol it would mean that they've had two sets down there at one time and I'm not sure they would carry that much spare capacity

60055 did another Southampton - Westbury - Southampton turn yesterday while the 56s worked 6Z41 to Scunthorpe RG and 6Z48 back empty to Willesden, DBC 60065 worked 6Z56 Kingmoor to Boston and then 6Z58 to Chaddesden before going light to Toton TMD to be replaced by the repaired 60046 which formed the retimed 2224 6Z57 back to Kingmoor via Crewe

Subscription only of course but there have been a number of photos of the 60s on WNXX over the last few days particularly of 055 and 065 with a couple of 046 DIT with 055

60055 in Southampton yard this afternoon

Thanks for the picture, hope you didn't run around too much as the trip to Westbury and back wasn't required to run today, as you no doubt discovered .......

60046 worked 6Z56 Kingmoor to Boston last night without any further problems and then 1349 6Z60 to Chaddesden, the 56s worked 6Z40 Willesden to Angerstein and 6Z41 to Scunthorpe last night before returning direct to Angerstein as 6Z42 today

There were two paths from Angerstein to Willesden this afternoon but neither have been used (yet at least)

You've obviously got them up and working ...... 1530 6Z41 finally departed for Willesden at 1726

Seems from other sources that yesterdays 6Z90 and 6Z91 were cancelled due to the failure of the mechanical loading grab at Southampton after only a handful of wagons had been emptied, 60055 is due to work these ballast spoil runs again through next week

The schedules for 50008 to work the Bristol BH WRD to Wembley LMD and return were both cancelled today as expected

They did yes. Foiled again in what I thought might be a chance to catch them just about in daylight.

No chance for you tomorrow either unfortunately as the 56s will be taking the 0406 6Z41 Willesden F to Rossington while, unusually for a sunday, 60046 took 1414 6Z55 Chaddesden to Kingmoor for a monday night trip to Boston

The grab repairs were obviously carried out as 60055 was able to do a Southampton - Westbury - Southampton trip today, the same again is scheduled for tomorrow while the 56s took 6Z41 to Rossington and then ran light as 0Z61 to Barnetby

Unveiled at Toton today, 60028 in Cappagh corporate livery, those with access to the WNXX subscription site can take a look now and I've no doubt it will be elsewhere on the internet soon, it's likely to bring some interesting and varied opinions

Not the best of days for 60055 which failed at Southampton this morning before departure, DBC 66086 'fresh' from RHTT work was despatched from Eastleigh to take 6Z90 to Westbury and then 6Z91 back to Southampton

60046 is on a retimed 0108 6Z56 Kingmoor to Boston, no difference to the arrival time as the 3 hours of booked layovers at Doncaster and Beckingham have been cancelled

Further to the unveiling of 60028 yesterday there are some more photos on WNXX (subscription section) this morning, surprisingly advanced in it's rebuild, after being removed from and then returned to the program, is a background sighting of 60029 on the loadbank

The blue paintjob is OK.

Font & logo however..... o_O :D

Yes, the main body is really the same as GBRf 60026 but, as you say, the logo ........ there are some far more hideous paint jobs out there nowadays, and this one could always be reworked of course, I think the grey lower stripe is a bit weird against the blue and then I noticed that at least some of the DBC red 60s have the same, at least you can't mistake the owner .........

Well you've got to be confused today, 60046 failed at Kingmoor again last night/this morning and 6Z56 was worked by DBC 66167 (as above), it seems as though the 66 has worked 6Z57 back to Kingmoor this evening although quite where 046 has ended up ..........

60055 was still out of service this morning and DBC 66086 seems to have deputised on both 6Z90 and 6Z91 with, presumably, 055 sitting it out at Southampton, at this time the only schedule for tomorrow is 1535 Southampton Up Yard to Willesden DC

After a couple of days rest the 56s worked 0Z42 from Barnetby to Rossington, 6Z39 Rossington to Doncaster Down Decoy and 1817 6Z42 Doncaster DD to Willesden F to form an Angerstein job tomorrow

60028 is sensibly keeping its head down as it's not yet finished testing and isn't intended to be released to traffic until the new year

60046 was at doncaster decoy on tops yesterday afternoon.

From info elsewhere it seems as though 046 may have failed due to TPWS problems and 055 with a failed water pump, I very much expect there's a man in Doncaster who knows what a TPWS is supposed to do and a water pump guru somewhere near Southampton, time will tell ........
