Sometimes these 'hubs', which are made out to sound like something big, seem to turn out to be a couple of de-mothballed rickety sidings somewhere, with an old portakabin and space for a lorry to pull up alongside!

With a tent for “maintenance” and a pile of soil to hide a bent grid behind...

Spot on there, I remember the 'purpose built depot' we were promised at the PRDC, it turned out to be made up of portakabins, to be fair though they were all new and contained every facility you could ask for and we had car parking and access to the Royal Mail restaurant, not quite what we were led to believe of course but it did its job

No overnight problems, 6Z56 early into Boston and 6Z58 early into Neath Abbey Wharf

As for 56303, the latest rumour is that Uri Gelller was seen in the vicinity when it was bent ........ :s

A slightly different night yesterday, 1350 6Z57 Boston to Kingmoor was cancelled at Doncaster Down Decoy on arrival at 1605, possibly because of the WCML problems, it then moved as 0240 6Z58 to Rossington, the 56s are currently taking 0851 6Z42 from Neath Abbey Wharf to Pengam Reception Sdgs, neither set seem to have anything further scheduled at this time

Can't be much more than that, they're only ever there for about an hour so I reckon fuel and a fluid level check is probably the limit, nice and handy with the DC Sidings just a few minutes away from Acton

Schedules are showing for the 20s to run from Leicester LIP to Westbury Up TC via Willesden F Sdgs and for 50008 also from Leicester to Bristol Barton Hill WRD, both on tuesday

The 0Z56 move to Rossington yesterday was cancelled, another scheduled move, for 50008, light from Leicester to Kellingley Colliery then stored wagons to Canton Sidings and light to Bristol Barton Hill WRD was also cancelled, one that did operate was 60046 light from Toton TMD to Chaddesden then 6Z55 to Kingmoor

20118 20132 50008 and 56091 currently working 0Z50 leicester lip to barton hill.

Yes, it would appear that 50008 was dropped off at Bristol and then the 20s and 56 went as 0Z20 to Westbury Down TC with the 56 continuing as 0Z56 to Willesden DC, it seems as though the spoil work from Westbury to Southampton is to restart either this week or next which may be the reason for the 20s arrival, although they would be quite limited in pulling power

It's possible that 60055 could be making its bow very soon having been in the paint shop at Toton, perhaps it could be heading Westbury way

Got to say that I think that would be a good idea, all four 60s in a different base colour with the DC Rail Freight branding would be quite novel, and without any fiddly unnecessary stripes and splodges etc it would probably drive the livery fanatics up the wall ......... ;)

That seems more than fair as they're paying for the locos, I think the Cappagh house colours are mainly blue or blue and white which should suit a loco quite well, anything as long as its not one of those hallucinogenic rainbow jobs

Only a poor quality photo taken inside the shed on DCR social media so far, 60055 reunited with its Thomas Barnardo name and in the same livery as 60046

56091 is reported as being at willesden this morning.

Lots of changes to the schedules on RTT this week so far, but 56091 is supposed to be light from Willesden to Wembley HS this morning and then from WEFOC to Chaddesden later, 56103 light from Leicester LIP to Rossington and numerous ins and outs at Chaddesden

20118 & 20132 are due to work Westbury to West Ealing Plasser and then light to Willesden

60046 worked the Kingmoor to Boston last night diverted down the ECML arriving on time, nothing showing yet for 60055 leaving Toton

Some more photos on WNXX today (subscription section) from Toton, two of the completed 60055, two of 028 on the loadbank and one of the stripped out 029, there are also some photos of yesterdays 50008, 20118, 20132 & 56091 convoy

Update to the site includes one photo of 60046 and four of the 20s working from Westbury with the Plasser equipment

The 20s worked from Westbury to West Ealing Plasser as booked and then light to Willesden

56091 ran light from WEFOC to Chaddesden this morning and then appears to have been used as 1Z99 Chaddesden to Hexthorpe Jct to rescue 1553 6Z40 Doncaster Down Decoy to Chaddesden, 56103 had worked light from Leicester to Rossington this morning to form 1400 6Z39 to Doncaster Down Decoy and 6Z40 which then became 2050 6Z61 Hexthorpe Jct to Willesden DC

60046 worked 1349 6Z58 Boston to Chaddesden and then 1937 6Z55 to Kingmoor rather than direct

My error from yesterday, 56091 actually worked 1225 6Z17 from WEFOC to Chaddesden which was a rake of new box wagons, the 56s have today worked 1550 6Z40 Willesden to Angerstein for tonights 6Z41 to Scunthorpe Roxby

The 20s ran light as 1513 0Z20 Willesden to Leicester LIP

60055 has today moved pools for reinstatement to traffic and release to DCR while 60046 will work tonights 6Z56 Kingmoor to Boston

A rather mixed bag today, 60046 failed about an hour into 2200 6Z56 last night and had to be dragged back to Kingmoor by a DBC 66, no diagnosis of its ailment as yet

60055 was released from Toton TMD for its first trip as 1335 0Z60 to Kingmoor, after running on time to Calder Bridge it was then delayed for an hour and a half by having to rescue a failed GBRf 66, it's currently around 20 late and is scheduled as 2210 6Z56 Kingmoor to Doncaster Down Decoy, 0455 6Z57 Doncaster DD to Boston and 1537 6Z58 Boston to Chaddesden

No problems for the 56s on last nights 2300 6Z41 Angerstein to Scunthorpe Roxby Gullet with an on time arrival and are currently working 1523 6Z60 Scunthorpe RG to Willesden DC

After its loadbank testing 60028 has this evening been out on its engine test as 1845 0Z54 Toton TMD to Toton TMD via Humberstone Road

Not 100% sure what that's about, RTT showing 0619 6Z40 Willesden DC to Angerstein and then a 1430 Angerstein to Willesden F, nothing else until two early schedules from Willesden to Scunthorpe RG and Westbury Down TC on monday, nothing like a schedule to keep you in suspense ....

The 60s made it back to Chaddesden this evening with 6Z58 and then went light to Toton for 046 to be looked at with 055 at least returning to Chaddesden, one of them is due to work 0Z61 to WEFOC tomorrow and then to Westbury Down TC to resume the Westbury to Southampton spoil work

The 56s worked 6Z40 to Angerstein and return 6Z41 to Willesden and are next scheduled to Scunthorpe RG

50008 worked 0906 5Z20 Bristol Barton Hill WRD to Wembley LMD for DCR returning Chiltern Mk3s after PRM work then 0M58 to Leicester LIP

60055 worked light to WEFOC on sunday and collected wagons for this mornings 0510 6Z18 to Westbury Down TC, after loading with ballast spoil it then worked 1524 6Z91 to Southampton Up Yard, it will return to Westbury tomorrow morning and load again for another Southampton trip

The 56s worked 0300 6Z41 Willesden to Scunthorpe Roxby Gullet and 1606 6Z48 Scunthorpe RG to Willesden return

Whatever the problem with 60046 it was not repaired in time today and DBC 60065 'Spirit of Jaguar' was hired in as a replacement, it ran light from Toton to Chaddesden as the late running 1518 0Z60 to form a retimed 2000 6Z55 Chaddesden to Carlisle Yard via Crewe
