Thank you.

Suggestion of a -- rather brusque -- request to the central figure of Maltese Falcon / Casablanca / High Sierra and sundry others; to tidily stow his vehicle.

Correct -- most prompt ! Are you a Bogart fan, maybe? I'm weird: he's prominent in my mind because I can't stand the bloke.

You to go, schweetheart...

Indeed. Your turn to split the 156s.

Ah thank ye, mon.

By poor linguist, re spelling / pronunciation -- concerning crude and basic "corrugated" toilet hut: telling to use same, domestic fowl; or Glaswegian lady (lamely).

Portlethen

It isn't that one; but your mind is in part, in the right groove. (I tend not to be too good on Scottish stations: have been dimly aware of Portlethen -- south of Aberdeen -- but just now, it was right out of my head: had to look it up. Initially your suggestion had me thinking of Porthleven, Cornwall [to where a friend of mine has recently moved]; which has never had a railway station. Stupid boy...)

I don't suppose ****terton has a station.

Why has this been bowdlerised? Pathetic!

This bowdlerising business by the Net is called, I believe, "the Scunthorpe problem". I presume you refer to the place in Dorset beginning with S, near the various "Puddle / Piddle" villages (is this call-of-nature stuff a Dorset speciality?) -- indeed, a biggish always railway-less area.

(On a rather similar theme re lingo of our cross-Channel neighbours: I've always been rather tickled by the place on the one-time Reseau Breton metre-gauge network, called Merdrignac. I suspect that -- with this settlement being in Brittany -- its name is the result of "Frenchisising" of something innocuous in the Breton language.)

At all event -- beyond the toilet "conceit": my clue / answer feature nothing actually rude.

What with all this: the estimable Thomas Bowdler -- who gave rise to the word -- lived to the age of seventy, vigorously expurgating away. If he'd been spared for many more years -- there would still have been enough material to keep him a busy guy...
