Correct

In spite of Cinzano's wine she advertised it's said Joan Collins is teetotal.

What was your first answer - not Hagley I hope?

No, it was Winnersh Triangle.
Which was a stretched anagram of 'in wine she' but this fell apart as no 'r' could be found or reasoned. Also, the Cinzano logo has two triangles in it.

Ok, another.

Cement mixers and birthday cakes, reportedly?

None of the above.

Ok, a little more: these can be ordered at the bar

Ok, that did not seem to help.

Narrowing it further: The station is on one of the lines between Glasgow & Edinburgh

It is correct. (my first response is stuck awaiting authorisation because it contained links).
They are both shots. The homophone of Shotts.
If you google 'cement mixer shots' or 'birthday cake shots' you should get many results.

You live and learn. I don't drink anything more exotic than meths (or metal polish on special occasions) so didn't get the connection.

Next clue:

An Avenger's true identity is revealed here.

I thought it was one answer per entry?

It is one answer per entry, isn't it?

I'm fairly sure that this question has been raised before.

Iirc, the answer (which I think may have come from DaleCooper
*) was that you're allowed as many answers as you wish, but you may be asked to justify your entries.

As long as you're not copy-pasting a list of stations, I think you should be ok!

*If not, please accept my sincere apologies for the misattribution

My problem was that the correct winning answer was edited in and not even double posted which would indicate a second attempt

Well...I don't claim myself as arbiter of the rules of this thread. Far from it as I have benefitted as much as anyone else from multiple guesses.

But...

I do think that if you're going to make multiple guesses, then at the very least double post and let everyone see any incorrect attempts you may have made.

Again, just a personal opinion about how this thread should be run.

I agree completely
