Cleethorpes is correct although I'm sure it's no worse than any other seaside resort in that respect.

When I'm at a perverted seaside resort, I always like to...

Go on the pull with alcohol and acid

Ok, how about this clue?

Rifle's few inches terrify me

(Same answer as previous clue)

Winchester?

Actually I'd already got it from the reaction of alcohol with an acid and was about to post it when you gave us the second clue.

Open floor if correct.

Correctly correctington!

In chemistry the reaction of a carboxylic acid and an alcohol produces an ester. Winch = pull was, perhaps, a rather weak part of the clue.

As an aside, a Winchester is also a type of rifle which was made in New Haven, Connecticut. Perhaps New Haven Marines used them?

Anyway, enough waffle. Open floor...

Haslemere?

It's been a few days without anyone getting it right. Maybe a further clue will help?
