I contacted them Monday morning and received a quick reply, Monday 30th should be the day for the online testing.

In that case, some of us should expect to hear from them today or tomorrow.

I wouldn’t expect them to give us less than 4/5 days to complete the online testing. Although the RAAT is quickly completed, I believe they take into account that not everyone might be able to do it right away, and give us a couple of days.

If we don’t hear from them today or tomorrow, then I’m not sure if that information is very accurate. I really don’t believe they would only give us less than 3 days to prepare and complete the RAAT, but again, I could be wrong.

Yeah it seems I misread it or the comment was edited/fixed. I thought it said the 30th was the LAST day for online training. It’s been a long day

Look through the thread, I believe this has been discussed on here already. There is also another Crosscountry thread that has been linked here where they briefly talked about the same thing.

XC do DMI first, then psychometric testing which is done in 2 parts. Standard paper testing and then computer based testing and MMI.

The practice materials contain all parts of the testing together. It will make sense if and when you receive it.

Hi, I've just received my RAAT test like others in here. However, at the start of October I passed the RAAT for a conductor role with WMT. I'm quite surprised I've been asked to do it again. Should I just repeat the test or contact the OPC?

I'm confident I can pass it again, however, if I was to fail it would this affect my WMT application?

The RAAT is not part of the database I believe so you have to sit it at every application for TOCs that use it. It won't affect your WMT application AFAIK

Thank you. That's put my mind at rest that it won't affect my other application. I'll get this one done over the weekend.

Good luck everyone. Just a tip, read some horror shows in previous forums regarding this. Make sure you don't post any tips/questions here or elsewhere. Tests have been withdrawn before and folk have lost out because of it, no fault of their own.

Just got in from work and checked out the practice test, it's only a few questions but I got 100% and came well within the time, put my mind at ease a little knowing that even as a complete train and rail beginner that it isn't beyond me, good luck everyone.

It's says 34 questions in 22 minutes, it's that 34 scenarios with 3 multiple choice questions each like in the practice material they sent out our 34 multiple choice questions in total split between a smaller number of scenarios? If it's the latter I'm confident. Thanks.

Thanks, after looking around i figured as much, works out at less than 40 seconds per question, tough going. I've been doing the maths lol, The test paper allows 53 seconds per answer, the actual test allows 38 seconds per answer.

Thanks, just nervous lol. I managed to do it in 34 seconds per answer last night and score well. Now just to get a good nights sleep and have a crack at it.

New to this thread.

Had my RAAT test through.

Apologies if this has been covered however in the test do the passages of text disappear when moving onto the question? Or can you refer back to them after reading?

Also, just my luck, I am away this weekend and have an action packed schedule in work next week. Was planning on doing it Sunday next week, final day. Do you think this could go against me doing it last min. Odd Q I know but in the cryptic world of railway recruitment you just never know!

No it won't, as long as its submitted by the deadline it doesn't matter when you do it.

Do a quick search on this thread or on the forum and you'll find this answered hundreds of times. TOCs want resourceful people, this isn't hard information to find. In fact, if you read this thread it's already been discussed.
