Very interesting interview with Ben Stokes on TMS with Jonathan Agnew just now.....I'd recommend listening back on BBC sounds if you've not heard it {about 9.48am) .
A very different tone from him....and it was clearly intended as a wake up call for some of the team, delivered with some carefully chosen words.....and he was clearly furious about some of the shots played at crucial times. "My dressing room is no place for weak men" was delivered with some venom......

I'd imagine quite an interesting juxtaposition, though I haven't heard it back. I wonder whether the coach will be allowed into Ben's dressing room? He's more culpable than many of the players in my opinion.

The fact that it's possible to be behind a team who have played and drawn just one match makes the whole thing meaningless. And that's before we get into the nonsense of slow over rate penalties being part of it.

While the home series have been competitive, in India and Australia we've been hammered in recent years. A team which wants to be considered a top table side has to be much more competitive in those series.

Very few, but not a first. They did say but I can’t remember. However I do remember they said the 13 that the last Aussie batsman got is the highest lowest score ever in a completed test innings

this is why the first test was such a frustration - we had our best team available and had a great chance to win. The first innings bowling display was superb.

Oz have made two, with Captain Pat Cummins and Nathan Lyons replacing Michael Nesser & Brendan Doggett.
Let's hope it's closer than the last couple, personally I think it will be, I don't think Pat Cummins will last the whole game, and surely England can't Bat, Bowl and Field as badly again?
