There will be at least one change to the England XI, with Liam Dawson called up as Shoaib Bashir has been ruled out of the rest of the series with a broken finger - but at least he went out on a high note!

Day 2 saw a mere 75 overs including the innings change.

England have been fined 10% of their match fees and deducted 2 World Test Championship points for the slow over rate - the match referee deemed that they were 2 overs short of their target. So, there we have it - 77 overs would have been entirely acceptable and England would not have been to blame.

That's why they were 2 overs short, and not 15 overs short, because the referee took into account the various delays that were not under England's control.

England's women were beaten 2-1 in their ODI series with India, and while a mod took exception to my previous comments on the side, perhaps they'll not delete these comments ......which are from Kath Sciver-Brunt from the BBC sports website.....

Sciver-Brunt, wife of England captain Nat, said players "don't want the ball because they are scared to fail".

"I played with a lot of passion and it certainly wasn't on the inside - you can see what I felt a lot of the time," she said. "I put a lot of pride into what I did, everything was life and death.

"It's hard for me to understand some people sometimes and their attitudes because to me it looks lazy and they are not trying and don't care as much."

While Sciver-Brunt did not name any players, she said she "sometimes" sees such attitudes in the current set-up.

Well played Joe Root. He makes batting look so effortless at times and he seems to have so much time......it's like he's in the nets! He thoroughly deserves his accolade today ....he overtook Ricky Ponting and is now the 2nd highest scorer in test history.

There's method behind that! If a proper opener went out, and got out even to a long-hop it would dent their average for the sake of a couple of runs!

I saw Jim Griffith walk out to open for Northants when one over had to be bowled before shakehands and he normally only went in at 11 because there was no No 12!
