Do you think it might have something to do with the Merger?
FCC and Southern are combining, so maybe they are awaiting this to happen??
FGW Is part of the First Group, so it might have something to do with this?
I am not entirely sure of whether this would make a difference to FGW
I am sure once everything is merged, there will be more places to have the training and courses, so people might be offered something nearer to where they live if there are a further distance away from what is currently available?
I am in the same position as you, I have just passed the final interview, and I had a call from FCC HR to inform me that although I had done extremely well in the final interview, because of the position I applied for, and the distance required to get there for training (Although I made it clear at every step of the way that I would be looking to relocate) they thought it better for me (and they were also I am sure thinking of my family as well) that I should wait until the September amalgamation so I would do my training closer to home, which I am extremely pleased about even though I was willing to move closer
The only concern I have is that currently I have the email from FCC Confirming my results, and telling me they are all good for three years, and that I will not require any further interviews and as soon as the course becomes available I will be offered a place on it.............. BUT......... what happens if people like you and myself are not carried over?
Will we still be doing the courses as per instruction? For me, it wont be FCC anymore, it will be the TSGN Franchise so will I still be entitled to take my place on a course?
I dont have a definite answer mate, but that could be a possibility?
