  • Afternoon Bill,

Front end turns? Blimey....i bet all the waiting and tests/interviews now seem like a lifetime ago!

I had my medical this morning and was passed F1 - Fit for role. It wasn't that daunting at all really. Just a normal one. The one i had for the underground was a lot more thorough.

As far as i'm aware the training is still at Hornsey but i've not had that confirmed as yet.

I'll email you back when i know a bit more.

    All the best,

    Jim

Nearly forgot....it's with FCC/Govia. We were at the same second stage assessment day at Watford together! I told my wife at the time that if i've been pipped to the post by a chap who fixes flight simulators for a living then fair play to him!
Hi Jim, glad you finally got the call, which company? Sorry for the delay in replying, I've been doing early start Front End Turns. As far as I'm aware they can't stop you moving TOC's, the only 2 year rule in my contract as far as I recall (I don't have the contract to hand) is the restriction on moving depots within the TOC.

As far as the medical goes the answer is yes they do an ECG together with hearing, eye, pee in a pot and medical history checks and then a quick examination by a doctor. Nothing too harrowing so don't worry!

Again well done mate and keep me informed when you know where your doing your training?

    Bill.
