Recieved email today saying basically although passed interview and assessment they couldnt offer me a place on the training course gutted. My application will be on file for 6 months if any positions become available in my area. Does this email basically mean unlucky and should I start my career chnge elsewhere. Thanks for any advice

I know how you feel Mick, I'm in exactly the same position as you with
Scotrail and have been on hold since October last year and my 6 Months
is quickly running out as well as my patience. Its a pain in the arse but

Sorry to say but as its Northern your're dealing with I wouldnt hold your breath. Quite a few people I know have been unceremoniously ejected from the talent pool with little explanation as to why. Lets hope you get the job though. Was the training for this one due to start mid February ( IIRC )
