I think it's about time those idiots got some coverage for their dangerous acts instead of constantly getting away with it. Smarshthelegend however is a good kid and he's posted a video about being wrongly quoted. It's VALEG members like DelticMatt & co you gotta watch out for..

Read this today and got annoyed due to it being one of my local haunts. smarshthelegend ir ok, knows what it is all about but i have seen a couple of videos from hststeven where his "gang" came to northallerton and did similar things. Not welcome up here thank you very much especially when it can affect my access to the platform.

sorry if this is too insensitive but basically they know there pushing it so i think we should start pushing it and when i say it i mean them infront of the train and yes i know it causes alot opf **** but they are just prolonging the strain on the driver's belive me if i got up their and see them a kick up the arse will be majorly in order

You get those kind idiots everywhere. Just like the people who stand right at the edge of a platform when you are coming to a stop there, thats why are trains are fitted with washer jets & wipers.

Especially bad for a driver who's still suffering from having a fatality, that kind of behaviour could & has already led to some drivers packing their job in.

& for what, a bunch of idiots.........thanks.

I don't understand how it could have got this far, because we had this discussion last Summer over filming at Starcross. :rolleyes:

Back then, leaders of the group, including Deltic Matt, admitted they were too close and promised it would not happen again. Indeed in one video Matt was actually telling people they were too close and a debate ensured on the video, although I believe that video was removed shortly after.

Whoever it is who keeps going too close really should have learnt their lesson last Summer and they should have seen this coming if they persisted with their actions. I don't have any sympathy for them if they have ignored warnings and requests before.

Can NR develop some cajuna's (sp??) and ban them from all NR property for 30 days or similar.......... take out a court order if necessary.

hmn, Well the clever people always did invent things that ended up getting banned or misused by stupid people.

Still, could be worse. A rape was filmed the other week, 3 lads involved and a 25 year old woman with a baby in the background crying. Downloaded by 600 people before it was pulled.

About time some naming and shaming came about!

Delticmatt's time on the railway should be cutailed with his antics!, a descreet email to his employers will sort the idiot out! and as for the others we know who you are and its about time this idiotic behavior was stopped!

A look on HST forum will reveal the majority of these morons, BTP are aware so watch out!!

Sooner rather than later one of you is going to get injured or killed doing those, what can only be described as crap video's!

A list of names to BTP will soon sort them out, starting with 'Delticmatt' the pratt shouldn't be working for the railways!!!

I should add that, whilst I post on the same forum some of these people do (mainly for the sake of having somewhere to chat about HSTs on), I was not present at any of the occasions these videos have been filmed. Indeed, the only time I've met any of them was at King's Cross last year when they had come back from a trip to Northallerton.

I do not condone the acts of the few of them who ruin it for the rest of us either. Most of them are good, hardworking, decent people. As usual, of course, it's the case of the minority ruining it for the majority.

I've watched smarshthelegend's video, and whilst I've never met him he seems like an alright lad who doesn't lose control of his senses when a train comes into sight. I know I'm over-enthusiastic sometimes, but not to the same extent as this lot...:shock:

No doubt you'll find some use for those yoghurts Jamie. If nothing else, hunger is bound to come into play at some point...:lol:

I'm all for naming and shaming. I question whether some people are true enthusiasts at all. Some seem to delight in fare evading and getting out and about making a damn nuisance of themselves. Such a shame where the majority go about their hobby in such a reasonable way.

Some people may be shocked to learn there is actually a degree of disdain in the railway industry against 'enthusiasts' because some of their antics similar to this and mass trespass when specials are running.

It gives the decent people a bad name: Those that write magazines and books, make models, produce computer games, give up their time to support preserved railways, those who join lobby groups, start websites or take photos.

Once again the northern echo has blown something totaly out of proportion, again.

Cant belive some of you are actualy flaming this, i know this thing shouldnt be condoned, but , your like old women..

For a start, that wasn't the first time they have done something like that. Every time they go out to film trains, they behave recklessly and irresponsibly. (sp?)

Despite numerous promises that they will improve their act, they don't.

Imagine it from a drivers view point. You see several people pratting around at the edge of the platform as your approaching at high speed. O L Leigh has been involved in a fatality, Kestral drives along the worst part of the railways for suicides on a daily basis. Ask them what goes through their minds when they see someone stood on the edge of the platform ....
