It can be any DRS train, loco or operated service.

best one wins?

Essentially yes, but its rather subjective and the best one doesn't always win imo.

You have all picked the wrong topic at the wrong time at the wrong place

Pah, DRS to me will always be class 20s: I can’t really remember the Transrail/Trainload freight 31s and 37s on my local flask working, but as soon as the contract went over to the newly formed Direct Rail Services and 20301 to 20305 started to appear, sparkling like new from their refurbishment, I sat up and took notice. After 20306 to 20315 had been released to traffic and DRS gained a few of the ex-EPS 37/6s, all the developments after that made the DRS fleet too convoluted for my liking. That said, I’m much more likely to be entering a shot of a 37 or 47 than a 20…

Carlisle's probably your best bet for DRS action in that neck of the woods, since their depot's just around the corner.

Cheers Techniquest, thanks for that, have heard they have a depot in Crewe, would that be truth or hearsay?

They do, just around the corner from Crewe station on the route to Shrewsbury. Don't know of any photographic opportunities though.

DRS mean 37's to me, that's all we get on our trains (apart from that one time a 47 randomly appeared...). In fact, I'm off to get between a pair now. That last sentence should really be in the "Railway Mile High Club" thread, I'm sure.

D'oh :(

I expect to be back next week though, especially if I do break my duck as looks to be genuinely possible this week [513]! :)

I must be really sad. I actually know the hyperlink required for the MHC thread [and Guess the Station to be fair]...

According to the uploader gubbins my entrant has been accepted, so I hope it's worked as I don't enter very often. Let battle commence when to Poll goes up, and may the best photo win!
