- Chirk to Carlisle and return (via Shap, five times a week)
- Chirk to Ribblehead and return (via Blackburn, fortnightly on average)
- Chirk to Baglan Bay and return (once/twice a week)
- Chirk to Teigngrace and return (fortnightly on average)
Steel:
- Washwood Heath to Boston and return (currently rerouted via Melton Mowbray)

Grantham is probably about the best place at the moment. Not sure where exactly in Peterborough the train currently runs round, though reports suggest to be the station.Well im from essex, but grantham seems the best place for me to see one
Grantham is probably about the best place at the moment. Not sure where exactly in Peterborough the train currently runs round, though reports suggest to be the station.
My earlier posting suggested it runs via Nuneaton... I was incorrect as it still runs via Tamworth before looping back over the Chellaston branch to gain the route to Loughborough and Melton Mowbray.
After the blockade is over the train should revert to its usual route to Nottingham and then via Allington Junction direct to Sleaford (from 26 August onwards).
This Friday!Anyone know when it's next due to visit Ribblehead then?
